The usual cause that would make it acceptable for abortion to take place is in the case of rape. If the mother gave no consent for this sexual intercourse to happen, this neutral group would justify that it was not her choice to bear a child, so she has no responsibility over the child. However, if the child was created because of pure stupidity and poor choices, abortion may not be the right decision. This group of people may also put themselves in the shoes of both parties, the mother and baby. If the child was raised in a harmful environment, he or she might experience some form of psychological trauma. Likewise, the mother who undergoes abortion may also feel the same, as it will always be in her mind that she might have murdered a person. Some may argue that it would be best for everyone to have the child put up for adoption. Whatever the situation may be, there will always be something that might question the outcome. These individuals are the few that can be convinced readily and without

Antonia Biggs is a senior researcher and she wrote an article “Women Seek Abortions for a Variety of Complex Reasons” in which the article discusses about the many reasons on why women want to abort their unborn baby. While United States abortion rate looks to be stabilized after a national decline, this decline has occurred among slower, low-income women in certain states. One of the most controversial and highly debatable subjects in the minds of the American public today is the topic of abortion. While abortion is seen as murder to some, others look upon it as an extremely safe procedure, offering numerous benefits to the recipient, predominantly being the right to choose. The argument has long been increasingly prevalent in the American political scene for decades, and is now being brought into new light as medical practices advance and technical flaws are effectively worked out. What cannot be altered, however, is the reality that what is being disposed of is in fact, a developing human life. It is this fact that the pro-life argument is based upon. The abortion debate not only revolves around the overall legality of the procedure, but also the conditions taking place that would condone such an operation.
How has abortion been modernized to fit today 's standards? In the article “Is ‘pro-choice’ really what we mean to say?” Written by Ellison, and Marvin Mahan. They talk about How Harrison had such a huge impact of the way women think of abortion today. Stating that women are the primary caregivers so they should have more of a choice than anyone. Ellison quotes Haisons quote “who shall control the power to reproduce the species?” And continues by making note “Only women can get pregnant”. The authors also gives several statistics to make their arguments valid. They have found three strong reasons why abortion isn 't such a bad thing, especially for a feminist. First if a woman is desperate enough she will go ahead with it anyway, it 's good there are safe medical procedures today instead of a dark alleyway. Second the authors know and point out that there is understanding sometimes the unborn child would have a destructive or dangerous life and the responsible act would to not bring that into the world. And lastly they talk about respect for human life. This means increasing moral seriousness

The topic of abortion is one of the most controversial issues in today’s society. Thousands of abortions take place every single day, and yet public opinion remains at a standstill as to whether or not abortion is ethical or not. According to a poll in 2013, fifty-four percent of the American public believes that the practice of abortion should be legal in all or most cases (“Public Opinion on Abortion”) Abortion has been defined as “the act of removing a human embryo or fetus from the uterus of a pregnant woman prior to the completion of the full term of pregnancy”(Rich, Wagner, and Geraldine). There are very strong opinions for and against this issue, but no one can deny the vast gray area of abortion. A person’s stance on the situation is often determined by how he views the fetus: a part of the mother’s body or as a human being. Abortion continues to be a moral issue because people have various views on the rights of the fetus and mother, the circumstances of the pregnancy, and their own religious convictions concerning the issue.

Everyone tends to have their own articulated opinion, and many vocalize tenaciously what they believe. Pro-life individuals along with religion are sanguine that abortion is ethically and morally erroneous. Whereas those who are pro-choice say that abortion is inconsequential and the mother’s choice is more important than the fetus. For example, raising the child and adoption.
A. Why is abortion being so used lately? There are many reasons to answer that. In each individual case, many couples who don 't want a baby push immediately towards aborting it. Abortion clinics have been created across the U.S.A. for people who don 't want a baby, and killing it because they don 't want to provide for them, or simply cause they don 't have a baby at that moment in their life. According to statistics "In 2012, 699, 202 legal induced abortion were reported to CDC from 49 different areas, the abortion rate for 2012 was 13.2 abortions per 1,000 women aged from 15-44 years old (Data and Statistics 2015) ". Abortion is an extremely controversial issue and one that is continually on the forefront of debates. Those who oppose the idea (Pro-lifers), thinks it is an act of woman playing “God” who live from who dies. Yet, whether an unborn baby constitutes a normal person is questionable; a pregnant woman, on the other hand, has the undeniable right to choose whether she wants to have a child or not. Therefore, the decision to have an abortion is the personal choice and responsibility of the woman, because prohibiting abortion impedes freedom of choice and endangers the physical and mental health of women.
