Seth did just that. He couldn’t wait to get his clothes on again and even get the hell out of there, but he needed answers. The time waiting for Dr. Stevens was grueling and anxiety filled, his thoughts all over the place and gamboled. He wasn’t sure of what it was he was expecting. There would be the obvious: quit smoking, quit drinking, and start taking better care of yourself. And, there very well may be a new health issue as a result of those things. Either way, he didn’t give a damn, not really. Seth guessed he knew what he wanted. Lucy Figueroa was busy at her desk at Caliber Consulting as she prepared paperwork that needed to be filed by the end of the day. The forms proved that her company’s client, Pioneer Construction & Land Management had fully complied with Section 106 regulations of the National Environmental Policy Act. It was boring and pretty much routine stuff, that couldn’t be contested, but such things go hand in hand with bookworms and bureaucrats.
