The Aftermath Huhhh! People call me Ben and I’m 18 years old. My parents moved out of house that I used to live in a year ago. Whenever I go there to check whether the new owners have any updates on my family, they only say “WE DON’T KNOW”. I still don’t know where they are. My friends and I had been looking for a new house for a while, and we found a two storied apartment that was available for rent. But, we had to pay an initial amount that we couldn’t afford at the moment, as the owner wanted it for security purposes. So, we decided to shoplift a couple of jewelry shops, and sell the jewels to a dealer, so that we can pay the initial fee for the house. Ayeee! They had been hiding inside the shop as customers, so that we wouldn’t find anything suspicious. When we charged into the shop, we were greeted with shiny guns pointed at us from all directions, and were put in an inescapable situation. “Hands up or you guys will be dead”, they said. We raised our hands as one of the senior cops walked towards us. “You guys are under arrest”, he said. I wasn’t surprised because I knew the consequences of shoplifting. As we approached the glossy police van, there were hundreds of news reporters standing outside the shop, waiting for us to come out. “What was the main reason behind shoplifting jewelry shops?” was one of the major questions that we heard. I had nothing to say. We were taken directly to the prison of London, and were told that our court hearing will take place in a week.
