Sex Industry and the Internet
In my experience, The internet has influenced the sex industry in many ways. Sometimes it is a good influence, sometimes it is not. I honestly think that the internet has actually hindered the sex industry in many ways. Sex workers who hustle the streets are finding it harder to get work because everyone is going to the internet. So apparently it is hit or miss as to whether the internet helps or hinders the sex industry. It is less dangerous and more convenient for workers to meet clients via the internet, but it is also less lucrative at times. So it really is up to the individual worker as to whether the internet is better for them. Social Media and Relationships
From what I have seen, social media can both hinder and help social relationships. In my own experiences, it helps people keep in touch and keep track of family lives when the family or friend lives far away. It is a lot easier to just log on to Facebook and check status updates, rather than making phone calls in this age of rushing everything. On the other hand, because no one is actually calling each other anymore, relationships are failing for lack of meaningful communication. I know it perturbs me when my wife is constantly on her phone, play.ng around on Facebook and reading memes on ifunny. She complains we never have meaningful conversations anymore, but she is always staring at her phone. I can 't even get her to put it down when we are supposed to be on a date!
