I have learned a lot from this course and I believe that if I filled out a self-diagnostic form now it would be different than when I started. I said that, regarding my content, my strongest point is my first few lines and my weakest point is my ending. I would still agree about my strongest point. I think that my first few lines are really captivating to my audience. Looking at my peer evaluations I would say that my classmates agree. Both of the evaluations mention my attention getter and how they worked really well. I believe that I have improved on my endings. I said that my greatest strength was my information and the way it is presented and my greatest weakness was my transitions. I think this section of my form would be very different. Looking back at my first speech, my evaluator said that my organization was a bit jumbled and they were not sure why my speaker was there. After I read that and reviewed my speech I had to agree. I thought that was my greatest strength and I came to realize that it was not and I need to work on it more and more. I would have to say that my transitions were not my greatest weakness. When writing a paper I struggle with them, but during a speech it is different. I think that my speeches flowed nicely together. I need to work on my organization and transitions. I said my greatest strength was my vocal projection and my greatest weakness was my body movements. I think this part of the form would be similar with a few changes. Both of the evaluations I received said that my vocal projection and articulation were good and that I was easy to understand. Regarding my greatest weakness I would still agree with it being my body movements. My peer evaluation from the introduction speech said that my movements seemed nervous and jumpy. I think that standing behind the podium during the eulogy helped me to be able to control my movements more. Looking at my impromptu speeches I still have a lot of movement and hand gestures all the time and they seem to get in the way when I’m speaking. One thing about my delivery that I hadn’t noticed before was that I talk very fast. My peer evaluation from the eulogy said that I talked very fast, but articulated well. I still need to work on body movements, but also my speed. I can work on these things all the time. I need to pay attention when I give presentations to my body movements and my speed. It is an easy thing to control and work on through
