Self-Analysis Essay In this semester, I learned a lot of writing skill in ENGL 1010. I had no confidence in writing since I was child. However, as I was practicing a lot of writing while listening to this class this semester, I seem to have gained confidence in writing. There are many problems with my writing. Among them, grammatical, sentence length, word, type of essay, and writing flow are felt to be lacking. Through this opportunity, I was able to think once more about the writing task I submitted during this semester, and I had the opportunity to see what was lacking. After receiving this assignment, I had been studying, worrying, and thinking about it for four days. This is a word that I have never seen before and I remember it was a very difficult task for me because it was a format. My rhetorical essay is probably the lowest score I have ever received in this course. This is part of the essay I wrote that “The ethos, logos and pathos are the most Important key elements in making the right rhetorical method. The author must be look at the specific object and make judgments before writing their thoughts. Understanding the two sides and knowing not to deviate from a particular writing is the key to successful rhetorical writing.” I had no confidence in me until I wrote essays after reading. After reading several times and taking advice from friends, I finally understood this. Each of these concepts is a bit of an expression. Ethos has the power to persuade readers of personality and trust, Pathos uses emotions to persuade the other party, and Logos have the power to persuade potential customers thought logic. As I learned the knowledge I did not know, I seem to have grown more and more. It is very important to understand and learn new things.
