Seeking Salvation

There is a story that has lasted throughout time and filled the hearts of many. It is a story of unending and undeniable love. The story has no real beginning and no real ending, but in the mind of man, the story began at the beginning of time. Before all things, there was, and still is, a God and He created all things, including mankind. God created a man, and then a woman, to have a relationship with Him. However, it was not long afterward, that evil came to show its face and drew the couple away from God. The world was then filled with sin and man became subject to it. Although all hope seemed lost, God knew beforehand what would happen. From the creation of the world, God had a plan of redemption in place. “Knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you” (1 Pt 1:18-19, NKJV). Because of the precious shed blood of Jesus Christ, all mankind could be washed, sanctified, and justified. This redemptive plan can be examined by looking at the meaning of these three words and how they work together to bring salvation.
God wrapped Himself in flesh, took the sins of the world, saved us from eternal death, and called us into a new covenant relationship with Him. Along with other verses throughout the Bible, 1 Corinthians 6:11 and the verses that precede it, describe how God brought mankind into a new covenant relationship. “And such were some of you.
