Risk assessment and contingency planning

The risk assessment contains all potential occurrences that can take place while we are working together as a team. It shows the brief description on the risks and their perspective on them. The table that I will be creating will have the probability of any risk occurring, if the risk did occur what kind of impact it would have on us as a team.
We will also do a contingency plan for each risk that could occur. On the Table I will have a scale of 1-10, 10 being the most effective which can put us in a really dire situation and 1 being a really mildly effective which should not cause us any harm. Obviously we are just guessing these numbers they can always have high effect on us that is the reason we are doing the contingency plan to help us in these kind situations. Issues with journey to university, traffic etc 8 9 This is the biggest risk we face as a team, to deal with this we will have to Check traffic reports online and plan journey and consider allowing ourselves an earlier beginning to our journey.
Maintenance work or crashing of the University Servers, We can’t access anything. 4 8 The probability of this happening is really low as well but if this happened it would have a big impact on us because we won’t be able to access any files that we need from the Moodle. To deal with this we will have to report this issue to the staff so they can sort this out as soon as possible.
Losing our work which we have not backed up 5 10 To deal with this risk we have to make sure that we back up out data in few different places like University Computer, email, USB and the home computer to be on the safe side.
