Hence Seagate Technology can hire external consultants to explain and teach employees that the business excellence framework actually addresses work improvement opportunities in their daily jobs. This helps the organization to determine performance and drive improvement and innovation for superior performance. Hence the management should have health-check of Seagate Technology to assess how it compared with its competitors and to better understand the strengths and weaknesses of its business units. By performing internal benchmarking, they are able to align its business units and share best practices within the group.
Seagate Technology should also increase transparency so that they can better understand the reasons behind management’s actions. Employees will be more aligned with and supportive of the management and have a greater knowledge of the organization.
