The Scientific Revolution of the 16th and 17th century was the beginning of modern science. Scientific research was highly trusted because their research was openly published, and subject to peer review. On the other hand, scientists today are not as open and free to share their research or let it be reviewed. In addition, many are doing research to be paid and are influenced by many different conflicts of interest. Earlier scientists were self-driven by their own curiosity to discover the truth about how things function in the world.
