During the development of the technology, more and more people realized that science has already become one of the most important parts in humans’ life. In other words, it is hard to image one day people live without science and what happened to this world. When people enjoy the fruits of science and technology, people also need to face the negative things produced by them. like what Michio Kaku said: “We have to realize that science is a double-edged sword. One edge of the sword can cut against poverty, illness, disease and give us more democracies, and democracies never war with other democracies, but the other side of the sword could give us nuclear proliferation, biogerms and even forces of darkness.”When people enjoy the fruits of science and technology, people also need to face the negative things produced by them. However,it is not absolute,if people can use technology by using effective way, this sword could show its highest power.
The group of beneficiaries of science is very large, my mother also can be one member of that group. I would like to share one truly story about my mum. At very beginning time, my mother just knew how to turn on and off the compute.Someday, she said to me: “I want to accept new things and I do not want to be out of product in this society.Please teach me something about computers, you can be my best computer teacher” During my childhood, I have showed great interest in the computer, it even can be said I have some talent in the computer.However, during my mothers’ childhood, she had no chance to touch any high-technology such as phone or mp3 and etc. So, let me teach my mum is the best choice. ...ave that awareness.Trying to guess if one third people willing to use public vehicle for working, how many automobile exhaust cannot be released to the atmosphere, how well our environment will be? And how many people can leave home to fresh air? To sum up, the benefits would much greater than disadvantaged, so we are worth to try that.
Technology is one part of our lives, it is the achievements of the struggles. It can make society more orderly, make works more efficiently, even make impossible become possible.However, it is not all of our lives. We still have friends, family,lover and another things or people we need to value. It can only be said that effectively use technology can make our lives become better but it can not change our lives. How to use the double-edged sword in correct way depends on ourselves. After all, destiny is controlled in our own hands.
