School uniforms have been associated with just the Catholic school but are now showing up in public schools across the country. According to the National Center for Education Statistics: Indicators of School Crime and Safety 2011, twenty-one states require students to wear uniforms in the public school system. Now you can see why uniforms can be beneficial to schools by helping the students academically, socially, and personally by making them all equal in how they look can relieve the pressures off of students in many ways. Students should not have to worry about their wardrobe along with their school work when going to school. They should also not be judged by what they wear which is why uniforms are so helpful to them and it can save money because you only need to by a few pair of clothes and not a whole new wardrobe for the school year. This is why I feel that all schools should have some type of uniform or stricken dress code to prevent these things from happening to students.
