Richard achieved many things in life, but he is best known for his poem ''To Lucasta going to war''. He was born into an Old and Wealthy Kentish Family. He was the eldest son of Sir Williams and Anne Barne Lovelace. He was also a Cavalier Poet whose main themes were Love and War, and Courtly behavior (http://poemhunter.com/richard-lovelace/bio).
Richard Lovelace was an amazing poet who had many accomplishments through his life. Richard lived a legendary life as a solider, lover, and courtier. He was born at Woolwich , England in 1618. Richard had four brothers and three sisters. Richard inherited the tradition of Military distinction. Richard was only nine years old when his father died. Although, it hurt Richard of his father death it didn’t keep him down it actually made him stronger (http://poemhunter.com/richard-lovelace/bio).
However, when Richard was eleven he attended border school, because he didn’t needed financial assistance like the scholars. After so, Richard attended two high schools Crockett High school and Dawson High School. Therefore, when it came to College life, Richard had many choices to choose from. Meanwhile, Richard attended three different Universities, Cambridge University, Oxford University and Gloucester Hall. Where he majored in Degree of Master Arts. Furthermore Richard received his degree of Master Arts at the age of eighteen. Although Richard was also sworn in as a Gentleman Wayter Extraordinary to the King (http://www.luminarium.org/sevenlit/lovelace.htm).
