The San Jose Sharks have been a team in the NHL (National Hockey League) since 1991. They were the first franchise to be based in the San Francisco Bay Area. They have won the division title for their team seven times throughout the years.
They had a lot of success in their early years. When they had gotten a new coach, Kevin Constantine, the Sharks had pulled off the biggest turnaround in NHL history. They had finished the season with a 33-35-16 record.

They made the playoffs with 82 points, which they jumped up with 58 points from the previous season. They were going up against the Detroit Red Wings and were up by a game almost the whole time. He is still playing for the San Jose Sharks to this day. Patrick has an outstanding record for the sharks. He has a total of 510 goals 574 assists which equals out to 1,082 points in his San Jose career. Patrick is 37 years old and still an amazing player for the sharks. Although he is reaching the age where most NHL players would stop playing.

Most players stop playing at around age 40-44 depending on health. Patrick has been thinking about what he will do after his hockey career and he is gonna try and be a coach for the sharks. He will get paid a little more than what he did when he played. The Sharks are a NHL team that tend to pay about the same as normal teams do.
The San Jose Sharks have an annual salary for the whole team and it has been decreasing every few years. This is due to because of the lack of fans and the team is losing popularity. The Sharks finished their 2016-2017 season not to hot. The sharks made it to the play off but lost in the first round (2-4) to the Edmonton Oilers. They are still a very good team for even making it to the play off’s. Although the Sharks had a good regular season they could have done better and tried harder in the play
