Same Sex Marriage Is Not Acceptable
On June 26, 2015, the U.S. Supreme Court came to the conclusion that marriage is a right protected by the U.S. constitution in all 50 states. Prior to their decision, same sex marriage was legal in 37 states, including Washington D.C. Same sex marriage goes against what the bible says. I feel that homosexuality is unnatural and immoral. Gay marriage is incompatible with the beliefs of several Christian.
Marriage is the joining of a man and a woman, who loves one another and wants to spend the rest of their lives together. It is not the joining of two women or two men and I do not believe the society our or U.S. government redefine the true meaning of marriage. I am against same sex marriage because of the following several reasons. Gay marriages are unacceptable in my opinion because it goes against God’s words. God’s word is the truth and no one can change it.
Allowing gay marriage also puts churches at risk, because if pastors allow same sex marriage it makes them go against God’s word as well. Homosexuality is a sin and it is unacceptable to force gay marriage on people who do not believe in it. It is also an unnatural act because God created Adam and Eve, not Eve and Eve nor Adam and Steve. Same sex marriage can confuse younger children too. ... everyone accepts it.
Homosexuals believe that no sin is greater than the other and that people against same sex marriage are sinning for judging them. The bible states “Judge not, lest ye be judged.” Only God can judge and he has the last say. God loves everyone equally the same and they feel like if God can still love them, why cannot we. Therefore, homosexuals who want to be married just want the same rights and treatments as heterosexuals.
Legalizing gay marriage has caused many problems in the society today. The U.S. Constitution is making some people go against their religious beliefs because of this law. I personally do not think people should have to go against their religion to support something that God would not be pleased with. We have enough things going on in this horrible world and irrelevant things like this should not be added to society’s problems.
