Accounting software can improve small businesses by significantly reducing time spent configuring Excel spreadsheets and manually entering data. Sage and QuickBooks are two most popular accounting software packages for small businesses. In fact, Sage is designed for professional bookkeeper or accountant, and QuickBooks is designed more attractive for company’s person with no accounts experience. Sage 50 and QuickBooks desktop have an excellent development teaching program. Both textbooks cover all material that needs to run and have a successful business. In my mind, Sage 50 is more helpful than QuickBooks to me and is less expensive than QuickBooks textbook. Pricing for Sage 50 and QuickBooks desktop is very close, but QuickBooks Online is a monthly payment. Sage and QuickBooks have similar system requirements support Windows XP and later, but QuickBooks Online work on Mac OSX too. The differences between Sage 50 and QuickBooks is backup file capacity. Sage 50 backup size is a very small file. Otherwise QuickBooks backup is a huge file that was difficult to store it for the future …show more content…

Likewise, both QuickBooks has vertical toolbar that covered all functions. However, QuickBooks desktop has home page with all functions in one page, and it's easy to navigate and well understand communications between transitions with arrows.
