Clarity I scored the teacher target on this section because the instruction was presented, and at different portions of the lesson the instructor would check for the students understanding. He would have them work as a group, and then would have the students take turns saying the word or guessing the meaning.
Level
I scored the teacher target on this one as well. The students were capable of performing the task with a high accuracy and it was not challenging to the students.
Opportunities
I gave the teacher target on this one too because throughout the whole lesson the students were repeating the word, reading it out loud, and even talking about the words and their definitions. They were constantly participating throughout the lesson.
Relevance
I scored the teacher basic on this category because the task is

So he was able to teach memory and learning strategy’s that are generalized because the students could use those skills while reading other material.
Monitoring
I scored the teacher target on this category because I may not have seen him recording grades, but I can tell by the students reading at the end of the lesson that the teacher will be able to tell the students mastery in reading that material.
Feedback
Overall I think the teacher did a good job with assisting with the students reading. Ii maybe would have modeling following along with my finger so that the students would be reminded that this is what is expected out of them. Another piece of advice is: instead of constantly calling on the student that constantly raised their hand, I would have called on the child that was constantly messing around. I would also talk about the skills and tools we were using during the lesson, and how it relates to them.
Behavior
What were your reactions? The teacher was responsive to the needs of her students by recognizing that some of them were active and including a kinesthetic aspect to the lesson. She is also sensitive to the fact that reading is difficult for many children; therefore, she is open to using various methods, strategies, or ideas to teach the children to
The moral philosophy best describes my personal decision making is virtue ethics (Ferrell, Fraedrich, & Ferrell, 2013). It best description of me as virtual ethics having exceptional moral character (Ferrell, Fraedrich, & Ferrell, 2013). My character displays honesty, integrity, and helpfulness (Ferrell, Fraedrich, & Ferrell, 2013). For example, a friend attempted to commit suicide as a result of a wife asking for a divorce through email (Ferrell, Fraedrich, & Ferrell, 2013). However, while working I received a phone call from him stating his desire not to live anymore (Ferrell, Fraedrich, & Ferrell, 2013). Meanwhile, I called his son to ensure that he wasn’t alone however, his son drove to the house and found his father sitting and with a
While the reading assessment will be different for all students I learned that I must be attentive to the student and what they say, also I learned that even if the student gets frustrated I should not aid in the reading that is in front of them. Instruction for the students should be clear and precise; I believe that every student should have their own Vocabulary Dictionaries in the classroom. I believe that this will aid the students so much in the way that they will be able to acquire harder words and each students will be different, they will be able to have fun with it as well as learn at the same
Application Virtualization: Application virtualization conveys an application that is facilitated on a solitary machine to a substantial number of clients. The application can be arranged in the cloud on high-review virtual machines be that as it may, in light of the fact that a substantial number of clients get to it, its expenses are some common by those clients.
From 2011 and onward, my family had fallen into bankruptcy for paying out of pocket for my older brother’s medical expenses and surgery costs due to his diagnosis of heart failure. In 2013, when I took the standardized ACT exam two times, I scored both times an 18 which was below my university’s 2014 entering freshmen class’s composite score average of 24.5 (copy of score report is attached). Furthermore, upon taking the LSAT two times with over four months of self-studying for the September exam, I scored first a 141, and a 140 on my last attempt. When taking both examinations, I have not been able to afford tutoring pertaining to the exams or a preparation course. Although I have worked numerous jobs during the past few years in college,
1.“If, for example, students were not ultimately rewarded for spending their early adulthoods pursuing undergraduate, graduate, and professional degrees, or if the hardest-working and most productive workers were paid the same as the median worker, then citizens would have little incentive to develop expertise, to exert effort, or to excel in their work.”
when I was making my john cena math game I wanted an image of john cena for the home page but most of the ones I looked at were copyrighted and owned by other people so I used the option to google images search but on show images that were available for reuse with modification so I could change john cena around in case he wouldn’t fit in my game screen. I had a problem similar to this when I was looking for images for my website but I used creative commons search to find god images I could change around in Photoshop to create a banner for my website and I wouldn’t get caught for stealing someone’s image without their permission. When I was writing some of the parts for my conceptual design of my website I had to make sure none of it was copying form other people or it would be called plagiarism and it would get me in lots of trouble at school, to get around this I put it in my own words and just to be sure I ran all my work through a plagiarism detector on www.plagtracker.com to make sure none of it was still plagiarism. Plagiarism is a big issue because you could just copy someone else’s work of the internet without asking or acknowledging them and that’s low to the person who did the work because you’re getting credit for their
It's important to gather information that is understandable by your students. The procces of gathering evendce in childrens learning can make a huge difference. there are many different kinds of assesments that help you as a teacher better educate your students. your lessons plans and what you teacer is very important to what they understand and how they learn.
Next, model for students how they would share the vocabulary word they found with their group. Use the word cur for example. Say, “if I was the vocabulary vulture and cur was the word I wanted to share with my group, I would ask everyone to turn to page 4 paragraph 2. I would then read the sentence out loud. Next, I would ask if anyone knows what the word means based off of the paragraph. Then I would share the definition and make sure it made sense with the sentence in the book. Then, I would show everyone my sketch to help them remember the definition.”
The teacher does make sure the children are capable in saying vocabulary words correctly. Most of the students learn from her by imitating the way she moves her lips, when saying a word. The student seems to be doing very well in the classroom, by always interacting in the lesson, and actually paying attention on what the teacher is saying. The student is receiving an appropriate education in the classroom, in her appropriate grade level. I just feel that the student would be more engage, if they can interact with their classmates more. The work in the classroom should be less worksheets, more active involvement, like activities on the smart board or group
One solution offered by Alfie Kohn, a well-renowned speaker on human behavior, education, and parenting, suggests that teachers would give parents written evaluations of how their child is performing and having frequent conferences available to talk about their child’s performance. Kohn believes that the most effective teachers do not rely solely on standardized tests. Great teachers are able to observe their students and are able to see without the use of exams how well their students understand the concepts being taught. In 1999, Phi Delta Kappa and Gallup poll surveyed the community. Individuals were asked to choose which of four approaches they felt would be the most precise evaluation of a student’s educational development. Using exam scores from standardized testing received the lowest percentage of 27%. Evaluating work that the students have done over a period of time received the highest number of votes at 33%, while the remainder of the votes were divided between letter grades and written evaluations from teachers after observing each student (Pollard, J, 1999).
I also try to choose books that would be interesting to my students and create math story problems around the activities that students participate in. Assessing student learning is critical to monitoring instruction and reporting student progress accurately (Danielson, 1996). The development of this component was a goal of mine during the first semester of this school year. I feel that now, I have accomplished this area to the proficient level by creating graphs to track student progress and creating progress monitoring assessments to evaluate learning.... ... middle of paper ...
Many factors can influence children’s ability to read (Combs, 2012). Effective teachers, therefore, must regularly assess the students to see how they are doing and to adjust the instruction as necessary.
As teachers, we have to monitor the progress our students make each day, week, quarter and year. Classroom assessments are one of the most crucial educational tools for teachers. When assessments are properly developed and interpreted, they can help teachers better understand their students learning progress and needs, by providing the resources to collect evidence that indicates what information their students know and what skills they can perform. Assessments help teachers to not only identify and monitor learners’ strengths, weaknesses, learning and progress but also help them to better plan and conduct instruction. For these reasons, ongoing classroom assessment is the glue that binds teaching and learning together and allows educators to monitor their efficacy and student learning.
The teachers were giving the students positive reinforcement throughout the day. In class we talked about how positive reinforcement helps the students to succeed in their classes. Another ah-ha moment was the environment of the classroom. The classroom had no windows at all. In class we talked about what kinds of things are distracting to students with ASD in classrooms and one of those things are the windows in classrooms. The third ah-ha moment was the parent sheets that the teacher and the school provide for the parents. In class we talked about how parent involvement is very important for the students with disabilities. The teacher fills out the parent involvement paper that lets the parents know how the child did in school this week and what their child needs to improve on. The students must give their paper to their parents to look at when they get home. The things that I had learned during my observation experience that I will use in the future for my classroom will be including student learning objectives in the classroom, using positive reinforcement, and get the parents more involved in their child’s education. I will go over with the students what the student learning objectives are in the beginning of class so the students will know what they will be doing and what they will be learning throughout the day. I also will use positive
