I woke up, trembling, in pain, mentally stuck. It was 2am, Friday morning. It felt like I was sweating through the sheets, but it was brisk...brisk to the point where I was trembling eternally. I later realized I was experiencing a cold sweat. I laid there, on my stomach, trying to nod off but I couldn't. On top of all that, I was experiencing a pounding headache. After contemplating whether to get up or not, I did and decided to take ibuprofen, to get rid of the headache and then I slept for an hour. I woke up again and tried to fall asleep again, only this time, I felt like I had enough vitality to move around in the bed. When the clock striked 6, my mother came in my room realizing that I wasn't awake yet. She found it odd because usually I woke up the earliest out of everyone in my house. She shook me in the sheets, murmuring “Matthew, Matthew wake up.” I elucidated to her what had happened, but since education is top priority, I had to go school. I didn’t feel hungry so I skipped that factor of the day. Before I left, my mother gave me more ibuprofen and these two decisions were the center of the problem. …show more content…

When morning assembly started and I began to pray, I felt fine. After prayers, the principal was talking to the school, I began to feel lightheaded and fell back. Maegan, who was standing behind me, pushed me back up and whispered “Matthew, are you okay?” I didn’t respond because I felt dazed and my vision began to become a blur. I started to hear noises around me as if I were in a room filled with nothing; everything I heard was echoing back at me. I felt my breathing cut short and I knew I couldn't make it through the school day, ignoring the situation.
