There are three types of people in Roswell, New Mexico: locals, tourists, and conspiracy nuts. Michael Flanagan used to be the first one, but now he is the latter. Having lived in Roswell all his life; he had heard the story a thousand times, but never really bought into it. None of the locals did; it was just a gimmick to sell balloons shaped like flying saucers and T-shirts with little green men on them. Once upon a time Michael used to laugh at the kind of people who actually believed in the most thoroughly debunked UFO sighting in history. That was, before his abduction. Now he was a good old fashioned tin foil hat wearing wacko. Michael knew that the chip in his brain sent signals to the aliens, and that they could track him wherever he went; maybe even monitor his thoughts, but the foil blocked the signal. Michael tried to …show more content…
He was handcuffed to a table and his foil hat had been taken from him. “No!” he screamed, “They can hear my thoughts! They’ll find me!” “Trust me. No one is going to find you.” said a man in a dark suit, emerging from a darkened corner. Michael regarded him carefully; the man was the most unremarkable person he had ever seen. The very picture of a shadowy government spook. Vaguely intimidating, with suspicious eyes and one of those little radios with the curly wires tucked into his ear. Michael wondered if the radios were anything like the chip the aliens had put in his brain. What does it really do? Is he immune to the mind control too? Michael wondered. He could only hope so. “You don’t understand! You can’t understand! You’re being mind-controlled! I’m trying to save you!” Michael insisted, straining uselessly against his handcuffs. “I appreciate the sentiment.” said the man in the suit, “I’m Agent Smith.” “Agent Smith,” Michael said solemnly, “You need to use the bees. It’s the only thing they fear.” “Everyone is afraid of bees,” Agent Smith narrowed his
Recently, many people believed to have witnessed via a viral video, U.F.O. unidentified flying object sighting directly above the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem, Israel, yet solid research quickly disproved this occurrence as another contemporary hoax. Sightings such as this one date back to June 24th, 1947, when Kenneth Arnold reportedly saw a “flying saucer” (Dash). There are many people around the world, who believe wholeheartedly in unidentified flying objects. Moreover, when Mr. Arnold made his claim of seeing a U.F.O., there were many futile arguments between believers and non-believers. Nowadays however, thanks to modern technology, people can record the alleged sighting by means such as video and still pictures.
Located 90 miles north of Las Vegas sits a high-security military base widely known as Area 51. For decades people have had suspicions about whether or not alien life forms exist and if so, whether or not they are imprisoned at Area 51. This curiosity has been fueled by not only interest in extraterrestrials, but also reported sightings of foreign life forms not from planet Earth. The conspiracies, other life forms exist and are being kept at military base, have largely been fueled by the government’s involvement in nearly all reported sightings. Area 51 not only has discovered other forms of life from outer space but also is most likely conducting strange experiments there.
...ary knew about the crash and that they were going to transport the wreckage to another military base. Many eyewitness accounts with similar details eliminate the possibility of merely a single person making up the entire event. The government’s contradictory reports demonstrate that their knowledge of the incident is dynamic and dependent on how they want the people to react. This matter is important because it raises the possibility that if the government is hiding information from the public about a spacecraft accident, there may be other incidents where the government is concealing the truth from the public. Despite the government’s best attempts to cover up the Roswell incident, eyewitness accounts from the common person validate the idea that an unidentified flying object crashed in Roswell, New Mexico and eternally changed the lives of several people.
Conspiracy theories accuse others of a cover up by secret planning. They may be based on a hunch or even backed by evidence. To the curious mind, they bring about unanswered questions that have attracted the attention of many people throughout history. Among some of the more popular theories are the assassination of President John F. Kennedy; the death of Princess Diana; alien encounters in Roswell, New Mexico; and the idea that Elvis may still be alive. Perhaps the most intriguing theory, because of our neighboring location, is the underground bunker and seemingly strange characteristics at the Denver airport.
MKUltra began in April 13 1953 during the Korean War by the order of Allen Welsh Dulles, the CIA director. It began during the “paranoia” right after World War II when fear of communism was at its greatest and the nuclear arms race between the U.S. and the Soviet Union was beginning to intensify. In addition, the operation was a response to the communist nations, North Korea, Soviet Union, and China, having their own projects involving mind control. These nations, furthermore, were testing on U.S. prisoners of war to gain information on their research. The C.I.A. was headed by Sidney Gottlieb, a chemist and spymaster [8]. In his childhood, he suffered a club foot and a stuttering disability. Due to his club foot, he was excused from the military but ironically became an expert folk dancer in his later years. Also, in order to compensate for his stuttering, he received a master’s degree in speech therapy. He also earned a Ph. D from Cal Tech. During his adult life, he was a content husband who lived on a farm with his wife. He grew and sold Christmas trees at the sides of roads and only drank goat’s milk. When he wasn’t working on his farm, he focused on Project MKUltra. For instance, at times, he would dose random people with LSD soaked drinks and study the victims’ reactions. After the closure of the project, Gottlieb retired in 1972 noting that all of his work put into MKUltra was a waste and was “useless” due to the fact that there were no huge “advancements” made in the MKUltra project [9]. Likewise, the goals of the project were to create mind-controlling drugs against American enemies and find ways to assassinate U.S. enemies. These drugs included LSD, cocaine, and countless of other drugs and chemicals. The people in cha...
Throughout The Secret Life of Bees , there is no shortage of symbolism, coming directly from its namesake, bees. Each connection draws upon the deep and rich meaning behind this wonderful composed text. The bees, however, never are a scapegoat. Similar to Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird character Atticus, they never allow for shortcuts or disillusion with reality. They force you to see the world as it is, and to accept it, and send love to it, for it is all you can, when you are as insignificant as a
Even more troubling than Huxley's prescient description of technological advances employed to manipulate and control mind and body is the manner in which government seizes on a military threat as the vehicle to not only control the population, but also to convince the people, even as their freedom is being stolen from them, that it is necessary to do so, and that taking freedom will make them free. (Barr 850)
Initially, I didn’t care much about bees until after I received this assignment. Although I may be allergic to bees, they do help my everyday life. I don’t want food prices to go up because we can’t save some bees. We spend trillions on protection, when we have no war. How about take a few million to save the bees, and possibly save man.

Achilles stared at Patroclus, studying him before shaking his head. "I am afraid you are wrong. Bees are vicious monsters, Patroclus. Their purpose is to destroy and they seek to do nothing but harm."
The telescreens in 1984 served two purposes, surveillance and mind control. Unlike the televisions of our present day, the telescreens in 1984 also served as a device constantly monitoring the citizen’s actions by means of an integrated camera and microphone in addition to broadcasting continuous p...
There are many conspiracies that people say have happened at the Roswell crash in the summer of 1947 in Roswell New Mexico. Nobody knows what really happened at the crash in Roswell New Mexico but, many people say that the thing that had crashed there was a UFO and or a flying saucer which mean there being aliens. Even after 50 years the people still do not know what happened and for everybody that doesn’t know were going to go deeper into what really happened. This incident had caused a lot of chaos with the Air force and the people.
Some time in July of 1947, a mysterious flying object zigzagged across the skies of New Mexico. Within twenty-four hours the object disappeared from radar just as mysteriously as it had appeared. It was last seen in a small town in the middle of the Arizona desert, it’s name, Roswell.
The Roswell Incident, which enlightened our minds to the capacity of excepting all, has remained one of the most controversial issues today. In Roswell, New Mexico, 1947, a strange occurrence arises. An alien craft from outer space crashed in an open field. The issue lay still for almost thirty years, until the thought of a government cover-up arose.
Undoubtedly, with over 10 000 cases, the sheer amount of reported UFO sightings and abductions is startling. In July 1947, an airborne object crashed on a ranch near Roswell, New Mexico. Rancher Mac Braezel examined the debris which appeared to be mostly metallic and plastic scraps. However, it was damaged beyond identification of its origin. He brought some of the material to his neighbours who attempted burning it, cutting it, and yet, it would not be damaged. They also tried bending it, too which it would dent momentarily before peculiarly molding back to its original form. Mac hurriedly contacted the local sheriff, who then, in disbelief, contacted two military officers to the debris field, also in dubiety, they brought some of the material they had found to the Roswell Army Air Base. Shortly thereafter, another local along with some students on an expedition, discovered a disk-shaped aircraft about two miles from the debris field, which had four small humanoid bodies scattered around its vicinity....
