Traveling and vacationing is one of the most valuable and enriching experiences of our lives. Going to different places to increase our knowledge, open our minds, extend new moral values, enjoy the different culture atmosphere, and so forth. There are many destinations throughout the world that will fulfill those desires. But, if what you are looking for is a unique and memorable experience that will give you the opportunity to learn about another culture through art, cultural events, historical sites, and archeological treasures, a place to visit is certainly Italy. Among many places in the world where you can relive the past, Italy is certainly the most charming place.
The history is that of many wonders along with how they live their life. In some aspects they are very close to how we live, yet they are completely different in another aspect. Italy is a very beautiful place. Italy has many large known cities. The main city and capital is Rome.
Italy is a country that is located in south-central Europe, and embodies a Mediterranean coastline, as well as numerous Italian islands. If I could visit any place in the world, it would be Italy. When trying to decide what I wanted to do my Multicultural Symposium Project on I thought about all the places I have always wanted to visit. Italy has always been a place I wanted to vacation to. Who wouldn’t? There is a lot of culture there from fashion to art and of course the food to name a few. Some of the most known name brands of clothing or handbags orientated from there.
With the money saved, I plan on visiting all of Italy’s main cities such as Florence, Milan, Venice, and Naples. Each city has its unique history and art that is fascinating which is the main reason I specifically chose to study in Italy. Not only would I visit Italy, but I’m interested in visiting Greece if my budget permits. Along with Italy, Greek history is one of my favorites. Receiving the Gilman scholarship will give me the opportunity to be able to spend in order to truly take in Italy by going to museums and restaurants.
