Allied Health Professionals Allied health professions are health care professions that branch out from nursing, medicine, and pharmacy. It is said that allied health professionals make up 60% of the total US health workforce. These professionals work in teams to make the health care system function by giving a range of diagnostic, technical, therapeutic and direct patient care services, that are important to patients they handle and other health professionals they work with. There is a list organizations that accredit healthcare, in almost every healthcare field there is. Starting from Athletic trainers to surgeon training. There is even an accredited program for Forensic science, which is still in the healthcare field, such as a forensic biologist there is full accreditation university for forensic science. It’s important for schools to be accredited because that way you can transfer credits from school to school to reach a point where you don’t have to restart everything when you transfer
