On November 29, 1947, the United Nations voted to divide the Middle Eastern land called Palestine into two independent nations, one Arab and one Jewish. On May 14, 1948, a new nation was born: Israel. The Jews of Israel and the world celebrated with joy and gladness, because for over two thousand years, they had hoped to return to the land of their heritage. (Silverman, 1) However with Jews from all around the world returning to Israel, the Arabs residing in this land were forced into exile. The rebirth of Israel marked the beginning of conflict, violence, and peace treaties between the Arabs and the Jews of the Middle East.
Tensions between Jews and Arabs have been present since biblical times in the Middle East. In 132 AD, when Israel was under Roman rule, the Jews revolted and fought for independence. In 135 AD the Romans crushed the Jewish revolt and expelled nearly all of the Jews of Israel. The Romans then renamed Israel-Palestine, so as to remove any connection between the land and the Jewish people. (Tessler, 12) The Jews never forgot their homeland, and prayed three times a day to return to Israel and to the holy city of Jerusalem.
In the 7th century, a new religion, Islam, arose in the Middle East. The Muslim Arabs conquered Palestine from the Byzantines and began to settle the land. They built the Dome of the Rock and the Al-Aksa mosque in Jerusalem, where they believed Prophet Muhammad ascended into heaven to receive parts of the Qur’an. (Goldschmidt, 46) During the early 1500’s, Palestine was captured and put under Turkish rule. During the First World War, the Turkish government placed severe restrictions on Jewish daily life, because the Turks believed that the Jews were plotting with their enemies. In December of 1917, the British army under the command of General Edmund Allenby defeated the Turks and captured Palestine. Four hundred years of Turkish rule had ended. Just six weeks before the annex of Turkey and Palestine, the Jews had learned of a British document called the Balfour Declaration. It was one of the most important documents ever written concerning the Holy Land. It announced that the British government favored the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people and would do all it could to make it happen.

Since the United Nations partition of Palestine in 1947 and the establishment of the modern state of Israel in 1948, there have been four major Arab-Israeli wars (1947-49, 1956, 1967, and 1973) and numerous intermittent battles. (Goldschmidt, 280) The Arabs still thirst for revenge, which is denied as the Israelis prevail once again. These issues still rage today and have fueled many armed conflicts between the two developing nations.

Conflicts between people often have multiple causes and effects. A majority of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is an argument that dates back to Biblical times. The Jewish argue Palestine was the historical site of all Jewish kingdoms, which was promised to Abraham and his descendants. The Arabs argue that Ishmael, forefather of Arabs, is the son of Abraham so God’s promise that the land should go to Abraham’s descendents includes Arabs as well . Its impact continues to be felt all over the world while a satisfying solution still remains intangible. A lot has also been said and written on the conflict, both factual and fallacious with some allegations being obviously evocative. All these allegations offer an array of disparate views on the conflict. This essay presents an overview of some of the major literature on the controversial conflict by offering precise and clear insights into the cause, nature, evolution and future of the Israel Arab conflict.
While the western definition of “monster” is not entirely synonymous with Japanese yokai, they both do share what “Monsterologists” like Komatsu Kazuhiko and Susan Sontag note as a profound connection between their appearance and “times of crisis.” While perhaps this connection is more prominent in the relationship between Godzilla and Japan’s “nuclear dialectic,” there is evidence that folktales of yokai nevertheless emerged during different times of crisis in Japanese history. Israel is facing a national burning question , should the Israelis get the land of Israel or the Palestinians? Both sides strongly believe they have a right to Israel and Jerusalem, but where did this whole conflict start? It first began with the Ottoman Empire that ruled over the Arab world since the 1500ś was defeated in WWI ( 1914-1918). After WWI Britain issued a declaration which supports the establishment in palestine of a national home for the jews. After 5 years of living under the british and the council league dividing arab lands, WWII began. During the holocaust many jews fled to Palestine , there were about 680,00 jews living in palestine at this time. Not too long after that in 1947 the UN divided Palestine into separate Jewish and Arab states , Jerusalem was to be an international city but the Arabs rejected the resolution creating more tension. Since then power over the land has slowly gone from being Arab ruled to being Jewish ruled.
One of the best known conflicts in the world is between the Palestinians and the Israelis. The conflict between them has been going on since before 1948, when Israel became a country. Throughout the years there has been conflict over conflict between the Palestinians and the Israelis. Many important issues contribute to the constant conflict between these two countries, and they have yet to find a solution.
An ethical dilemma is defined as a mental state when the nurse has to make a choice between the options and choices that he or she has at her disposal. The choice is a crucial task as the opting of the step will subsequently determine the health status of the concerned patient, hence it requires a great deal of wisdom along with proper medical and health training before any such step is opted as it is a matter of life and death. Strong emphasis should therefore be on the acquisition of proper knowledge and skills so that nurses do posses the autonomy to interact with patients regarding ethical issues involved in health care affairs and address them efficiently. It is normally argued that nurses are not provided sufficient authority to consult and address their patients on a more communicative or interactive level as a result of which they are often trapped in predicaments where their treatments of action and their personal beliefs create a conflict with the health interests of the patient. Defining what a nurse is varies from person to person. Some have described a nurse as a person who shows care to their patients while others say that nurses assist to regain the ill’s health back. There is no wrong answer in defining what a nurse is. Moreover, I believe that a nurse is one who treats their patients with the dignity and respect that they deserve, and assists them in promoting and preventing their health illness and lastly, enhancing their health to optimal status. Well, ina recent article put out by the Los Angeles addressing climate change education, they state that “A policy agenda, focused on reducing greenhouse gas production, and overhauling the tax system, so that the wealthy pay for the expansion of environmental education” is in the works. Since this village is located a distance away from proper health care, prevention is key to their well-being. One great asset to this municipality is the Milton-Union Public Library. They offer classes on wellness; for example, in January they held a session that gave instruction on nutrition (Milton-Union Publc Library, n.d.). The instruction benefits everyone in the community by teaching them healthy eating habits and proper nutrition. Another wonderful resource for our elderly population consists of the Milton Union Senior Center & Community Club. This facility offers socialization, trips, activities, and educational speakers. Some topics covered range from energy assistance to remaining healthy (Milton Union Senior Center & Community Club, [ca. 2016]). The facility is conveniently located for citizens and allows them a place to meet friends because socialization is valuable in improving health.
