Introduction. English is a language that plays a major role in our social fabric of life. Apparently, this language is a West – Germanic Language of Indo European language family . It originated from England . It had been derived by the invaders from German that invade the Great Britain years back then. This because the English language was introduced by the British Empire during the colonization era. The learning of English language in Malaysia began during the colonial times as a tool of socio-economic mobility and education enhancement. Malaysia was under the British rule from the late eighteenth until the mid-twentieth centuries. The colonization included both Peninsular Malaysia and East Malaysia (Sabah and Sarawak).
