The term "rocket scientist" is sometimes used to identify a person of great intelligence since "rocket science" is understood as a practice requiring great mental power, particularly technical and mathematical power. The term is used ironically in the expression "It's not rocket science" to indicate that a task is simple. Rocket scientist is normally associated with Aerospace Engineers. Aerospace is a specialized branch of engineering which deals with the design and development of the aircraft's as well as space crafts. Aerospace engineers may develop new technologies for use in aviation, defense systems, and spacecraft. They often specialize in areas such as aerodynamics fluid flow; structural design; guidance, navigation, and control; instrumentation …show more content…

Aerospace engineering requires in-depth skills and understanding in physics, mathematics, aerodynamics and materials science. These professionals must be familiar with advanced materials such as metal alloys, ceramics, polymers and composites, the BLS said. This knowledge allows engineers to predict the performance and failure conditions of designs before they are even built. Aeronautical Engineers needs to be alert, have an eye for detail and high level of mathematical precision because a single error could cost company …show more content…

This degree is equivalent to an aeronautical engineering degree. Those with a degree in electronics, mathematics or physics can also find opportunities in this area. For M. Tech program in aeronautical engineering one should have completed a degree in (BE/BTech) aeronautical engineering or any other equivalent branches of engineering. One can even look for alternate courses such as Aircraft Manufacturing and Maintenance Engineering, Aviation Management. Aerospace engineers basically design, construct, and test aircraft, missiles, and spacecraft. They conduct basic and applied research to evaluate adaptability of materials and equipment to aircraft design and manufacture. Aerospace engineers can specialize in designing different types of aerospace products, such as commercial and military airplanes and helicopters; remotely piloted aircraft and rotorcraft; spacecraft, including launch vehicles and satellites; and military missiles and
