Maximilien De Robespierre was the oldest of four children. His mother passed away when he was 6 soon after his father left him and his siblings. Robespierre and his siblings were sent to go live with their grandparents which raised theme. After Robespierre attended the university of Lycee Louis -le-Grand where he earned he earned a law degree. Soon after Robespierre "gained a reputation for defending the poorest of society and earned the nickname "The incorruptible" for his ability to enforce strict moral values ("Maximilien de Robespierre."
