Some of the recent Google revelations have cited that social media marketing affects the search engine marketing in a broader level. But the problem with the relationship between social marketing and SEO has not been strong yet due to the lack of understanding. Time and time again social networking plays the quintessential role of sending signals to search engines, which gives a certain boost to the topic in concern.

But until or unless there is much clarity between the SEO and SMO experts, it would be very difficult to bridge the gap.
