It was 8:00 p.m. now and dark. She pulled up to the curb across the street from the house. The porch lights were on. Riley snuck around back and looked through the window. She saw a very gross and messy house through the glass. Then she spotted him. The sick monster that had taken her mom. The man came into the kitchen where Riley was looking in. Your wife is awake and is eating breakfast. You can come see her if you want,” “Ok, we’ll be right there,” replied Riley’s father. They got in the car and drove to the hospital. They took the elevator to the third floor where her mom was. When they walked into the room her mom had a confused look on her face. “Who are you?” asked her mom. “What do you mean? Quit joking around mom,” replied Riley in a chuckling tone. “I have no clue who you two are and I’d like you out of my room. Nurse!” yelled her mom. Riley could tell that she was being serious. What’s happening? Why can’t she remember me? Riley started to cry with frustration when suddenly a thought popped into her mind. She remembered reading in a book about memory loss.
