June 16, 2016 is when Trump formally announced his candidacy and also the day the United States lost the world’s respect. At no point during any election have Americans witnessed a presidential campaign as radicalized as Trump’s party. For decades, the United States was always known as the promise land of the American Dream, but suddenly that was all changed. America was no longer known as the land of the free due to this election which revealed the true side of the United States society. Trump’s campaign was based on everything that America went against such as, racism, which lead to a dramatically increase in hate crimes, sexism, and brought out the pro-white supremacy that existed among us.
Donald Trump is a business man who somehow got into politics for the first time and managed to the electoral votes to clinch the top job in US. In his manifesto, Donald trump was clearly a perpetrator of racism and religion discrimination. He told CNN in June 2016, “when Mexico sends its people….they’re bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime, they’re bringing rapists” and to add to that he also stated that he will “build a great, great wall

Racial discrimination, women abuse and religion segregation is not what built America, but the unity of different races to work and do business together is what America foundation relies on. His election has effected America in many ways, Trump promised to bring back America to its old roots and these are the first fruits of his promises. The nation is going back to practice racism and anti- Semitism together with sexism. The future of the nation is in jeopardy hands, and I fear for the next generation which will grow under Trump government knowing it is okay to be racist and to treat women in a wrong way. A year ago it wasn’t possible to be racist and get elected, but now it feels okay to say racist things that you wouldn’t have been able to
America is a façade hidden behind its notorious past, with an even more troubling present. The land of the free, home of the brave, and one nation claimed to be united under the presence of an omnipotent power, but is it really? America profits off of the so-called dream that is sold to the hopeful and broken. This nation has been riddled with violence, persecution, hatred, and a false sense of togetherness. Racism was not the beginning, it was the ending result of a power struggle between those who wanted control and those who had it. The systematic enslavement and dehumanization of blacks resulted in the concept of a racial caste division, creating the idea of us vs. them (Wacquant, 2002). The Jim Crow laws, prisons, and the creation of ghettos
This is only one of the many offensive comments he has made throughout his campaign, which I plan on analyzing for the purpose of understanding systemic racism within America. Trumps campaign has been centered on the very controversial topic of immigration policies and the building of a “Great Wall” that is intended to keep the Mexican people, in particular, out of the United States. The idea that someone like Donald Trump could become the President of the United States of America has put fear into the hearts of the American people. Running with the slogan “Make America Great Again” Trump has emphasized that America has failed because of its “lenient” policies towards other countries, and his plan
One of the most important aspects of a presidential nominee is the candidate political ideology, and how that candidate transforms their ideology into vision with specific agenda that they can convince voters of. When we look at Donald Trump’s official campaign site we see seven position or stances on an issues that trump has chosen to center his campaign around was one of the main issues Trump addressed in every stump speech he gave during the primary. The first one listed is a step by step process in which he will build a giant wall between the border of the United States, and Mexico will pay for this far. Trump feels so confidently that this will happen he has even mapped it out day by day after he takes office of presidency stating, “On day 2 Mexico will immediately protest. They receive approximately $24 billion a year in remittances from Mexican nationals working in the United States. The majority of that amount comes from illegal aliens. It serves as de facto welfare for poor families in Mexico. There is no significant social safety net provided by the state in Mexico. On day 3 tell Mexico that if the Mexican government will contribute the
“The beauty of me is that I am very rich” according to Donald Trump. His ignorance has lead him to do things that he shouldn’t being doing or has done. In the past few months he has been racist man that would insult people that are from a different race. When Trump started running for president he would insult and bully everybody in general not knowing the people’s stories. He made people seem like they are poor and have nothing to live for, Trump’s inability to see past his greed. He wants to separate the United States and wants people to think he is the best of the best; Trump should not be President.
Trump should be president and here’s why: Audience: Republican party members that are against Trump or generally uninformed voters. What makes someone a good candidate for president? Someone that can “Make America great again” which brings me to my candidate, Trump. Donald Trump is more of a business man than a presidential candidate, but we can use the business aspect in running our country today. He believes in fixing a lot of the major issues that we have as a country, one of them being our overall financial debt.
Trump declares that, “[...he will build a wall to border Texas and Mexico]” (Br). He also states that the U.S in not going to pay for it, but he will force Mexico to! How can this guy be taken seriously? Mexico’s obviously going to refuse to pay, and America is just going to end up in more debt. This proves that Donald Trump has no idea what he is talking about and that he just makes absurd statements for the approval for the people. Trump is also racist towards muslims and believes that all are terrorists, “Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States” Most importantly, Trump contains no political background and clearly doesn’t know any real resolutions for some of the nation’s biggest
The Obama administration’s fiscal policy has been moderately successful (seven out of ten rating), in that America was brought out of the Great Recession of 2008, but lately, excess spending has smothered the growth of the U.S. economy. One of Obama’s most controversial, but successful, actions was the automotive industry bailout in 2009, when Obama approved a several billion-dollar loan in order to prevent job loss by bailing out GM, Chrysler, and GMAC from going bankrupt. Secondly, the Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act in 2010 provided Wall Street reforms and consumer protection in order to prevent another recession of the same nature. Furthermore, the Obama administration implemented the Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance
In the article “Make America Hate Again”, by Sasha Abramsky, she explains how Donald Trump is divining the country apart with his ideology and false messages. Even before being elected president of the United States Donald Trump was known as the “Law and Order” candidate, he structure his political policies on tougher punishment for criminals, “torturing terrorists”, and punishing family members of terrorist members. Abramsky, stated that America is an endless cycle of violence with crime and police brutality. Unlike our western European democratic countries, the United States has far more citizen death by law enforcement and higher violent crime rating. The majority of his supporters lack knowledge on “anti-immigration, and anti-Muslims”, seeing them as a threat to the country and asking to ban Muslims from the U.S.
Donald Trump is a republican politician and businessman who was elected on November 8, 2016, as the president of United States taking the power in January of 2017. Trump brought many worries to a lot of people in the U.S.A and abroad which made them unhappy, but his presidency also made many people happy, especially Christians and republicans. I personally did not watch the debates, but I was able to hear about it on people around me, as most of the people that I know wanted Hillary Clinton to win because they saw so much of discrimination on Trump. Trump focused his campaign and debates on focusing on changing America for better, but the better changes were saying was only to give the opportunities to Americans only, cutting off the opportunity
I believe that we need a change in America and I personally think that Donald Trump is going to be the president to bring us the change that is needed to make America great again. His views on gun control, which is that it is unnecessary, and his ideals to bring jobs back to America from china are all good thing that Americans needs. He has a lot of great ideas, and some not so great, in my opinion, that he has to offer if he becomes the President of the United States in the next election. Hillary Clinton is not necessary a bad choice for America, I just believe that she wants to lead us down the same path that we have been on for the last 8 years. We need a huge change and Donald Trump can give us that.
As seen on his campaign website, trump labels illegal immigrants as both rapist and murderers explaining, “In recent weeks, the headlines have been covered with cases of criminals who crossed our border illegally only to go on to commit horrific crimes against Americans. Most recently, an illegal immigrant from Mexico, with a long arrest record, is charged with breaking into a 64 year-old woman’s home, crushing her skull and eye sockets with a hammer, raping her, and murdering her.” This fear mongering consequently instills a racist view of all Mexican immigrants into Trump’s supporters. The generalized criminal
January 8, 2016, marked the day of the United States of America’s official election. Prior to that day, thousands of people lined up in the cold weather to cast their votes with the hope that their voices and opinions would be heard. All year many people including myself joked about the possibilities of Donald John Trump actually becoming president because of his arrogance, harsh statements, lack of political knowledge, and lack of political experience. Unfortunately for the many people that held the popular vote and opinion, Trump was elected President of the United States of America on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, and was officially sworn in as President on January 20, 2017. Though a majority of Americans voted against Trump, due to this country’s Electoral College system he was able to win the election, and an instance like this has only occurred four times in our countries history. The Electoral College
American journalist and writer, David Remnick, expressed the country’s deepest concerns on the Presidential Election in his New York Times article, “An American Tragedy.” Published precisely after Donald Trump was elected President of the United States, the compelling article voiced how utterly distraught Remnick felt about the pressing events and mediated what he felt Hillary supporters, immigrants, and all threatened people felt towards Trump. He began his article on a doomful and defeated note addressing his title and main argument: Donald Trump’s election and presidency are an American tragedy. He presented his “revulsion and anxiety” toward the presidency, the “miseries” we could potentially look forward to, and how the course of events
Though there are people who believe he doesn’t discriminate, the views of Trump’s supporters are not black and white. Some of his supporters suggest that Trump may say cruel remarks, but doesn’t really mean them; and, others explain he may say racist things, but he is just saying what everyone else thinks (Kingston 39). But to most of Trump’s adversaries, he is just a bigot lied his way into the Oval Office.
As both "conservatism" and "liberalism" have had various meanings sooner or later and transversely countries, the word liberal conservatism has been used in relatively different sanity. In political science, the word is used to pass on to ideologies that merge the support of capitalism, for instance value for contracts, protection of private property and free market require reference to validate with the principle in natural discrimination, the significance of religion, and the worth of traditional integrity need reference to validate in the course of a construction of inadequate, legitimate, representative government (Abdou & Zaazou 2013). It contrasts with traditional liberalism and particularly aristocratic conservatism, rejecting the belief of correspondence as a little in discordance with human nature, instead emphasizing the thought of natural inequality (Crozier. 2012).As the conservative thought in democratic countries hold typical liberal institutions such as the rule of law, private property, market economy, and constitutional representative government, the liberal factor of liberal conservatism
