The Thanatos Clan was a group of people - ok, maybe not a group, maybe like an army, that is trying to kill everyone on the entire planet so they can have the whole planet to themselves. Their leader is Saint John; and he is the most dangerous person in the world. He carries two razor sharp knives and is as fast as a cheetah.
James left the stands to go get something to eat before Rex started fighting in the second round, and he thought about Saint John and where he could be right now. He had seen Saint John two times in his entire life- loud screaming broke his thoughts. From the entrance into the shaft, James could hear the loud screaming coming from near there. Rapidly, James pulled out his sword, but put it back in his holster and picked up his pistol instead. Long-range would be easier than close in.

Doug Swieteck, from “Okay for Now”, by Gary D. Schmidt, lived a life in anger. At the beginning of the book, he was very hateful of everything. He had spent a long time in anger and disgust, trying to find a way in life. Near the beginning of the book, Joe Pepitone gave Doug his baseball cap and jacket in person, to Doug. But, Doug’s mean older brother took the cap and his dad took his jacket. That added to Doug’s anger even more. But, luckily he turned it around in the middle and end of the book. He ended being a lot happier and was able to control his emotions better.
While the sheriff was banging on his door, James was talking to his mother and told her he couldn’t go back and ruin everything he ever worked for. He told his mom that he killed 213 people and that he couldn’t live like that, reliving every single memory every single night, wanting to kill himself and not wanting to disappoint his family. He was a remarkable athlete, yet at the age of eighteen, he found that he had bone cancer. He lost a left leg and he was no longer able to run or move like before; nevertheless, he was inspired by other cancer patients at hospital and promised himself to do something good to the world. His marathon began on April 12, 1980 and he ran 5,373 kilometers in 143 days. Eventually, cancer forced him to stop running, yet he completed his dream of raising one dollar from each of Canada's 24 million people.
Christopher Johnson McCandless, the main character in the book “Into the Wild,” had made a lot of friends even though he did not like people. James's brother Bob and two friends, Julie and Kirk, come to visit him at the clinic. They bring him presents: cigarettes, chocolate, clothes, and books. They watch some football together and then go for a walk in the woods, where they meet Lilly and her grandmother. Bob, Julie, and Kirk urge James to try and get better and give him a list of people who have asked about him. Lilly is a girl that James meets in the clinic although he has little to no contact with her besides fleeting visits that they chance every here and there. The next day James's new job is making coffee for the group, a clear sign that he has progressed and moved further up the clinic ladder. James's psychology test results reveal that he is highly intelligent and angry and has low self-esteem. When my mom asked if I wanted to see this year’s Lakeside musical, I honestly was a bit unwilling. It’s not that I didn’t want to support my two or three friends up on stage and in the crew; I just don’t have a very good track record with high school performances. I’m a critic: I have always been very critical of myself, and very critical of others. I unwittingly judge the actors onstage, and end up feeling guilty because I probably could have done no better. On top of this warped superiority/inferiority was the nature of the musical they were performing; all throughout third grade I had been obsessed with the movie-musical Hairspray. I knew all the songs, most of the lines, and wasn’t sure if anyone could top Queen Latifah. But I was mistaken.
An admirable parent is a parent who doesn’t expect perfection from either them or their children. The parents also shouldn’t fear occasional failures. In The memoir “The Glass Castle” which was written by Jeannette Walls, the memoir tells about the Walls family’s rough and tumble lifestyle. Jeannette’s father, Rex Walls tries to be a good parent, but he keeps slipping back to his alcohol addiction.
He lived a life without parental guidance. His mother left him with his father when he was only 4 years old. James was often left alone while his father traveled to turpentine camps selling tar for a living. James recalls the times he spent alone walking around in the woods looking for doodlebugs, and playing a harmonica his father gave him. Through a young man’s eye we see how he views life and what is important to him and his reactions to the important life obstacles. Dexter is the main character we meet him young, he works at a golf course that he caddies for. We also meet someone important to the story as well who is young named Judy Jones. Judy is the girl of Dexter’s dreams and will be awhile down the story. Dexter has three desires that he thinks about through the whole book and they are love, happiness and, wealth. Dexter is put through these obstacles throughout the whole book and it has shaped his choices and feelings.
