Review of Rush Hour 2

The author Jay Carr wrote a review on Rush Hour 2. He thought that this movie had a weak plot. There wasn't much point to the movie. A plus side to Rush Hour 2 was that it was action-filled, and was very thrilling to watch. Carr thought this movie to be the best of the sequels of the 2001 summer.

Carr wrote in his review that Chan and Tucker were unknown in how they worked together, and that nobody knew what they were capable of before the release of Rush Hour. Now people know what they have together, and they are able to rely upon each other, and are more comfortable with each other's work. Things are able to be ameliorating in this movie.

Carr also mentions that Chan is action-filled, and Tucker has the motor mouth, and is funny. Chan performs many stunts, and Tucker has his hilarious mouth going.

Carr noted that Rush Hour 2 was influenced by the movie Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Zhang Ziyi plays the character who is a formidable fighter, and has the wonderful contrast of sweet girlish looks and brutal fighting.

Carr talked about the acting. He said how Zhang Ziyi her performance was described as explosive. He discussed how John Lone was a good evil mastermind. He mentioned Roselyn Sanchez was a plus as a government undercover operative.

Carr says that a second sequel, Rush Hour 3 could be expected after this.

There many things left out of this review that should have gotten mentioned. First thing, the directing. Jay Carr does not mention how well Brett Ratner does as a director. More could have been said in the area of how camera angles were taken care of. What kind of close-ups, or angles were used during the scenes should be discussed in this review.

The sound in this movie should also be mentioned. With the action in this movie, sound is very important. The sound is very important in every movie, but especially in this movie, because of the punching, kicking, and so forth. None of this is discussed.

Another thing missed in the review was special effects. Special effects are an important part of a movie, also. What can't be done while being filmed can be inserted by computer, and without that, it can be difficult to do some movies.
