Without a woman's right to do what she chooses with her body, her freedom and ... ... middle of paper ... ...nking of herself, she also thinks on behalf of her baby. Abortion clinics do not make the choice easier, nor do they force the woman into the surgery. People who are against abortion have the choice not to have one. It is not fair to take away the choice of people who do want one. The reason I believe so strongly about the abortion issue is because sometimes circumstances beyond a woman’s control present themselves.
B. Women should have abortions when they want to terminate an unwanted pregnancy and the fetus has serious physical defects. A rule utilitarian would try to answer the same question, which rule will produce more total well-being? In conclusion, a choice needs to be available to prevent the birth of unwanted children, to avoid damage to the child as well as the well-being of women. Preservation of life seems to be a slogan for anti-abortionists.
Teens often have unplanned pregnancies because of them being irresponsible. They may want to get an abortion because they are too young to take care of a child. Women that may have failed birth control should b... ... middle of paper ... ...ount. These aborted children are the future of our world. People say all the time the kids are the future, and yet we continue to kill them by the millions because we don’t think we can take care of them or are not responsible enough to avoid getting and unplanned pregnancy.
Today, in the news, you hear a lot about abortions becoming illegal in some states. The states should not make abortions illegal, and not give women that choice because if the women were to want an abortion bad enough they would find somewhere else to get it done and more than likely it would be unsafe for her “it seems unlikely that making abortion illegal will actually reduce the number of abortions per year.” (Hansen) Abortion should be an option for every woman who is pregnant because if a woman were to become pregnant and she knew she didn’t want a baby or could not provide for it properly, than the baby has no business being born unwanted or poorly taken care of. Women fear that their parents will kick them out, but with the right sources maternity homes will assist pregnant women with prenatal care, parenting education, counseling, and many other needs they may have. Some women say that their parents are forcing them to have an abortion, no one can legally force anyone to have an abortion. Forcing a minor to have an abortion is actually considered child abuse. Other women do not see the harm in an abortion, they see the child as “not being born yet”. Although the unborn child does not have legal rights under the law, the fetus is alive.
Michael M. Boland goes to say “And no person should ever have to suffer the pain and anguish of abortion”, then why should a woman put herself through the kind of pa... ... middle of paper ... ...arily negative emotions about their abortion still felt that they had made the right choice.” But what they don’t understand is that even though these women feel like they’ve made the right choice, they still primarily have negative emotions. Negative emotions can lead to depression and other psychological issues so by saying that women don’t feel anything after an abortion is somewhat ridiculous. Lastly, a woman must not be selfish. She must think wisely and precisely on what to do if she gets pregnant. I once heard someone say “If that girl didn’t make the choice to have an abortion and stay in school, she might end up being the same girl that finds a cure for cancer” but what if that child she was carrying in her stomach was the child to cure cancer one day?
That is why it is difficult for even pro-life people to come to grips with the argument over abortion in cases of rape and incest." Some of those who are pro-life will allow abortion in these cases because they don't know what else they can do for the victim and except it as a rare case. But it is known that allowing abortion in these cases usually does not help the victim, instead it only worsens the problem because the victims needs are not being met. But what the facts suggest is that only a minority of rape and incest victims actually choose abortion. This is where ... ... middle of paper ... ... legal for all.
We see in just one problem, abortion, there are a lot of pros and cons. There is still no conclusion because both sides of the argument be can be seen from many points of view. If you are one who supports Pro-life or Pro-choice group, you cannot judge if the other group has a different way of thinking although we still have a tendency to do this . People cannot judge Pro-life people as a people who have no respect for human feeling because they would not allow a woman who had been raped to have an abortion. On the other hand people cannot say that Pro-choice is a better group because they are more aware of human needs.
No matter what she chooses to do, should anyone have the legal right to force her to bear an unwanted child? Most people in the US are pro-choice, and believe that abortion should be a legal, confidential decision that only a woman can make for herself. However, some are against the idea of terminating life, regardless of its current stage. People advocating this pro-life opinion believe that de-legalizing abortion will make it go away. Sadly, that is incorrect.
The word abortion means the induced removal of a fetus from the womb before it is able to survive independently. Abortions are legal, which has been the case for many years, but they are very unethical. Women believe there are many reasons to abort such as rape, fear of raising a child, or not having enough money to take care of a child. Whatever the situation, there is never a suitable reason to get an abortion. Some important reasons why women should not abort have to deal with values of conscience, human morals, as well as health issues.
