Following the NBA Finals, James announced his decision to return to the Cleveland Cavaliers after ending the contract with the Miami Heat on June 25, 2014. His return was much welcomed and much needed by the Cavaliers as in the past four years the team had lost more games than any NBA franchise. But LeBron was motivated, especially because he knew that they now had Kyrie Irving as the energetic guard and Kevin Love a great rebounder, on the team with him.
It took some time for the new Big Three to blend their talents and while they were striving to achieve this, LeBron acquired back and knee injuries that kept him away from the court for a couple of weeks during the 2014-15 season. This cost LeBron 13 of 82 regular season games.

The following year made up for all the lost games and title. In 2015-16, the Cleveland Cavaliers changed their coach by replacing David Blatt with one of James’ old teammates, Tyronn Lue. But the sports analysts had faith in James and were confident about the team’s performance even after their loss in the first two games. But then the Golden State went up 3 games to 1, the chances of a comeback dropped by a notch, as never had a team won the NBA Finals after losing 3 of 4 games. But with James’ and Irving’s committed efforts the team won the fifth game by 112 against 97 points with both scoring 41 points each. Followed by another tremendous 115-107 win with James’ second consecutive 41 points scoring record, resulting in a seventh game in California.
Game 7 was the luck of the draw that began with an average performance by the Cavaliers in the first half, but they had a wonderstruck comeback in the second half after making some adjustments during half-time. The last five minutes were the game changer when Irving broke the 89-89 tie by a long 3 pointer, followed by LeBron’s free throw that took the game to an unsurpassable 93-89. With this, the Cavaliers earned their first championship in franchise history and LeBron, with 27 points and 11 rebounds and assists, became the Most Valuable Player for the third
