Responsibility for Death in William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet

Romeo and Juliet is possibly the most famous play in the world. It was

written and set in the 16th century. It was a time when practically

all marriages amongst the rich were arranged. Shakespeare's play would

have been very controversial. Juliet put her love Romeo above Paris

who she was arranged to marry to. Than the engineer is written in a

poetic form often in prose and all his in a very confusing language.

The play has an extremely famous ending as the lovers take their own

lives. There are many possible reasons for this and many people to

blame.

The prologue seems suggest that Romeo and Juliet's deaths were down to

fate it talks of "star-crossed lovers" it seems will as if Romeo and

Juliet were just fine details and an existing tragedy. Their deaths

would be nothing if it were not due to their stature and the stories

behind the deaths. It's arguable that without their deaths many more

have died. And this is God's way of ending an evil.

Romeo is a member of the Montague family; he falls in love with Juliet

daughter of Capulet. All throughout the play Romeo is highly impulse

when the seas Juliet he immediately falls in love of her and goes to

kiss her without thinking of the consequence. She most probably would

be a Capulet, and just a scene ago Romeo was madly in love with

Rosaline. When Romeo murders Tybult he does not think of the

consequence until afterwards when he blames fortune and says, "oh I am

fortunes fool". After the party he also risks his life as he enters

the Capulet's garden so as to see Juliet again. Before he leaves

Verona he risks his life again through a fight or execution and at the

end of the play when he hears of Juliet's death he plans his own

death. If he had thought more about his actions or just slowed down

many things that went wrong would not have.

Juliet in this aspect is very much like Romeo.
