It wasn't long ago that the Ottomans and many more had women born to be concubines to the Sultan/king because of their bloodline and it was not long ago that the Qing dynasty of China increased the rate of women infanticide. Not only that, but it wasn't long ago that the world thought that women were only housemaids for men, and weren't suppose to do any handicraft type of work and if they were young they would just be educated in manners and loyalty. In addition to that, in 1782, a woman by the name of Deborah Samson Gannet had to take the name of her deceased brother and dress up as a male to fight in the Revolutionary War of our country. We have come to the point in history where everyone matters, in fact it has been so important for our society to implement equal rights that this may be considered as the Age of Equality. In addition, we have come to the point where women are valued just like men, where the working class is paid the same despite gender, race, or ethnicity, a place where the Africans are no longer slaves to the white people, and a place where everyone's word is heard.
