Some people in life usually do not have any perceptions of what their professional career is all about before they get into it. Some, once they got in, do not have any desire or ambition of moving further to acquire more education in addition to what they already have. There are others whose life experiences have shaped their beliefs and have been the driving force for their dream career. My life experiences have been the driving force behind my dream about carrier in nursing and why I decided to further my education to pursue a graduate degree program. I see myself acting as a healthcare provider when I ask them what brought them to the hospital and why they were admitted. I would give them some words of encouragement and then pray with them. Since I came to the United States of America, I have spent some time volunteering in the hospital and helping the sick. Although I feel those services was not enough because it does not give me enough opportunity for hands on care with the patient and this drove me to pursuing nursing as a carrier. When I look back and reflect on this, and see where I am today as a nurse, now dreaming to becoming a nurse practitioner and a nurse leader, I believe strongly that this graduate program would expand my horizon to do even greater works than I have done in the…show more content…
With endurance, they are being able to handle their patient’s anger, outburst and or acting-out. It helps them also to control their own emotion and know the best approach to use when dealing with a difficult client.
