Recommended: reality television influence on society

Reality television has been a burning fury of opinions as of late. Regulations are in question for this topic. This type of programming should be forced to have limitations. Drawbacks to regulations or reality T.V. are That they limit the reality of everyday living, viewers will not get a true experience of enjoyment; benefits would include regulations that are necessary, such as the limitations of bad influences on children, the less suggestive topics; the better T.V. quality actors, and shows will be made, and show on television.
In an article it states that shows such as “Survivor” are claimed too be unregulated due to its content. When its characters are signed to the shows, they are legally binded to the shows rules, and contracts, so any rule breaking risks the characters being kicked off the show, eventually leading to money loss. In the “survivor” series, it is a show based on contestants who compete in difficult physical challenges. In those challenges the contestants are subject to very extreme attitudes and vulgar situations, from both the host of the show and the contestants. Going back to the vulgar situations, these include the young adults physically fighting out of frustration, using bad words on set, and even sexual content. (Nutt, 1) Those subject all viewed by teenagers, and some children. Should these children be allowed to watch? Regulations say no, for “survivor” it’s an unrated show.

...nded audience. To add on to that same subject the people who make and regulate these television shows need to have a bit more sense of compassion, and pride. What they put out should be a reflection of whom and what that person thinks is okay, and reality T.V. creators need to have a serious relook.
