As a student of Corcoran High School and consumer of lunch meals , I recognize that school districts are in the wrong way to combat obesity. Each year I witness of the limited amount of fruit , flavor milk , never water and something that most of the time is high in salt and oil. Proceed and frozen meals ,are routine. The result are this kind statistics. According to the Pediatric Nutrition Surveillance System , 30.5 % of students are victims of diseases due to a unhealthy diet in schools and home. We are part of this numbers , but we have the change in our hands. For this reason is essential a transformed meal for every student in our school district . Being that child obesity in our school is a reality, I present this plan to the different school authorities . If they bring this type of benefits to others ,safely it would be for this campus . Also they would be affecting the future of these children . Each student would grow up in a healthier environment. In the future the same kids would be adults , without diseases as obesity or diabetes . We need to understand that a balanced meal has a enormous impact in students , every person want that result.
