The book Refuting Evolution 2, by Dr. Jonathan D. Sarfati, exposes the false premise behind many evolutionary theories or hypothesis. Dr. Sarfati brings to light some of the problems with evolution and the manipulation of the humanistic world view. He tries to make the book understandable, so that Christians can talk about evolution versus creation and not be intimidated.
Creation versus evolution is a battle of different faiths. Modern evolutionist desire for ever person to think of science as a subject that is void of God. Evolutionist have discovered was to get the general public to ignore that propaganda being produced by humanist and just follow their thoughts and not search for truth. Creationists have the same facts as evolutionist but have a different origin of where everything started.
Creationist believes the biblical account of where life began, so this places God in the middle of science. Evolutionists have a religion, which is known as materialism. As the word itself signifies, Materialism is a philosophical system which regards matter as the only reality in the world, which undertakes to explain every event in the universe as resulting from the conditions and activity of matter, and which thus denies the existence of God and the soul.
Robert Root-Bernstein and Donald L. McEachron, “Teaching Theories: The Evolution-Creation Controversy,” The American Biology Teacher, Vol. 44, No. 7 (Oct…1982). This article, written by Robert Root-Bernstein and Donald L. McEachron sheds light on the controversy of evolution vs creationism in schools and the validity of each being called a scientific theory. The work was created to answer the questions, “Which of these theories is truly scientific and which is a religious belief? Which should be taught in schools?” The article concluded in favor of evolution as a valid scientific theory that should be taught rather than creationism, but also mentioned the worth of understanding the latter.
The theory of Evolution was developed by Charles Darwin throughout his life and published in 1859 in a book called "The Origin of Species." In brief, it states that all living things on earth evolved over time and that natural selection is how they evolve. Natural selection is the process by which entire populations change in response to their environment. It works because those who are better adapted to the environment reproduce at a higher rate than those who are less suited for the environment (Biology, 2001). It is widely accepted that humans evolved from primates. That is why the trial had the nickname of "Monkey Trial". In contrast, the theory of Divine Creation states that the universe was created in seven days by God and that animals have not evolved since. One can see clear differences between these two theories.

The Creationist and Evolutionist worldview is one of, if not, the most controversial issue ever debated, and has been for centuries. The two oppositional worldviews are at, what seems to be, an unending war. Mainly because of their many blatant differences like: the age of the earth, the fossil record, the origin of plants and animal, but none more prominent than the issue regarding the origin of mankind.
Evolution and creationism: two warring beliefs that are constantly looking for an upper hand. With similarities and comparisons that Christianity does not deny, yet evolution quickly repudiates. Where do you stand? In a belief that has so many loose threads, like a puppet that has too many strings, you try to apply it, but the strings become tangled and unusable? Or in a belief that does have proof and undeniable evidence, one that has a promise of everlasting life as apposed to a dark nothingness? A decision must be reached. Whether through further evidence outside this paper, or just through your day to day life, your must know where your beliefs lie. Just know, that if what Christians say is true, and the evidence is overlooked and criticized, you will face something much, much worse than being castigated by those around you.
A lot of people, Christians and non-Christians alike often question the accuracy of the theory of evolution. Those who express doubts about the theory are often labelled “unscientific” or “backwards” by some in the pro-evolution camp. At times, the popular perception of evolution seems to be that it has been proven beyond all doubt and there are no scientific obstacles left for it. In fact, there are quite a few scientific flaws in the theory that provide many reasons for it to be doubted. It is true though, none of these questions necessarily disproves evolution, but they do show how the theory is less than settled.
Evolution is one of the most well supported theories throughout science and is one of the best explanations we have to help us understand the diversity of life forms. There are so many parts to evolution and with each of them having various explanations it is understandable that there are also numerous misconceptions surrounding the theory. Whilst when the theory of evolution was first introduced it produced a fair bit of controversy, it was widely accepted by many biologists. Despite this, it continues to be a difficult and debated topic and so misbeliefs about it largely exist. For these reasons it is important that we study evolution and begin to understand the truth behind these misconceptions.
The main arguers against evolution come from the theistic view of creationism. The first step in debating creationism is to not bring the discussion of religion into the debate at all. As an atheist; one can’t use the evolutionary theory to disprove the existence of a god or multiple gods, because evolution doesn't disprove the existence of God’s. There just isn’t empirical scientific evidence for them. Our modern understanding of evolution does show that the creation myths of the past are nothing more than actual myths; such as the seven day...
Over the last 150 years, evolutionary theory has completely refined people’s understanding of changes in the inherited characteristics of biological populations over time, and this theory has now become a unifying concept of the life sciences. In 1859, through his book The Origin of Species, Charles Darwin proposed that organisms evolve over time to adapt to their environment and therefore achieve longevity and success as a species at large. Moreover, Darwin was able to support his theory with significant research, and subsequent studies were able to provide additional backing for evolution. Needless to say, this theory caused great controversy at the time it was proposed, especially among religious groups. Darwin’s theory blatantly disputed other ideas specific to certain religious cultures pertaining to the origins of life, such as intelligent design. This opposition detrimentally delayed acceptance of Darwinism and further scientific research based upon the theory. Despite being universally accepted as fact among the scientific community for decades, the ever-present opposition from pious religious subcultures still calls into question whether evolution should be taught to students in high school biology classes. Darwin’s theory of evolution is backed by extensive data, is accepted science that students, due to academic integrity, have a right to learn and, unlike alternative theories based mostly on theology, is based solely on facts; therefore, evolution should be included in the high school curriculum.
The information presented in evolution studies must be viewed with an open mind since there is no definite proof or law of evolution. The dilemma boils down to science vs. religion. God has been our creator since beginning of time, but the discoveries of recent science are sudde...
How does evolution explain life without creationism? Evolution and creationism are dissected through scientific, psychological and an anthropological perspectives to better understand the relationship between the two. This social science issue has been debated globally for hundreds of years, and has yet to establish a firm answer.
Creationist science is a branch of Creationism, which believes that the world was created and designed by the biblical God of Genesis. They believe that “the days of Genesis ought to be taken literally as seven 24 hour days, and that the theory of evolution by natural selection, and the big bang theory, are [fundamentally] incompatible with the story of creation” (277). In Creationist science, Creationism is seen as a scientific theory and, biblical scripture is used as textual proof for their claims. One of its many flaws is how it fails to account for the tremendous breadth and depth of phenomena that the evolution theory has been unable to adequately explain. It is an extremely fragile theoretical apparatus when compared to evolution.
As all people know it is the nature of human beings to disagree with each other, in cases such as evolution being able to coexist with religion, people almost always have different opinions. Evolution argues that all organisms that once lived or that are still alive on earth today share were descendent from the same common ancestor. The concept of religion and evolution is a topic that is being spoken about worldwide. People either oppose the idea of evolution and religion can coexist or they either support it. Usually, the strict religious people are the ones who oppose the idea because they believe it is against their faith. Others on the other hand, may not believe in neither but they believe that in order to be a scientist and believe in evolution, you must be an atheist. An atheist is a person who does not believe in God. Evolution and religion are seen to be incompatible by many people however; some people believe they can coexist.

Each module and chapter in this course is used to open the eyes and give informative information in regards to the Evolutionary Theory, and also to explain why evolution is true. It also takes you through the process in which species and individual organisms have evolved and developed in to new life forms to create the world we live in today through the form of fossils, homology, selections, micro and macroevolution. As I went module by module and through each chapter my initial thoughts regarding evolution began to become questionable in my eyes. My whole belief about Evolution was about to become questionable and I was in for a remarkable journey in just a few short weeks. As I went chapter by chapter so many things caught my attention and made me question my initial theory, teachings and beliefs. I will show you how my world is about to become very enlightened by this course.
