Baptism is important in my Church’s beliefs. We believe that immersion by water from a true believer is a Bible baptism. Baptism is a symbolic of the death of Christ, the burial and his resurrection. We also believe that it is symbolic and that through Christ alone will you be saved and that this is a public profession of your faith. Our Baptism service at Connection Pointe is always a beautiful event and celebration. There are usually quite a few people who get baptized I interviewed two people Andrea who is my cousin and a classmate Drezden who was baptized this spring. They both had unique experiences. I have always enjoyed the baptism Sundays that take place. On baptism Sunday a lot of music is played and worship is done. She read a testimonial and read it in front of the church of why they want to be baptized and why she wanted to be a part of the church. The next week the baptism ceremony took place. The baptism took place at the end of the service. There was more than her just being baptized and when it was her turn she was immersed in the water. When she rose out of the water she felt like a new person that her past was behind her and that she wasn’t going to make the same mistakes she made in her past. She felt closer to Jesus and she felt she was born as the child of God. Andrea said she after coming out of the water she felt changed and her faith renewed and solidified. Drezden had a similar experience. He understands baptism as the cleansing of your sins and soul. He believes that it brings you closer to God as well. Drez went through the baptismal experience and said when he came out of the water he felt changed. He realized that even though it was water, he had a certain feeling over his body that he couldn’t explain. Stepping out of the water he felt tons of weight come off his shoulders. He was
