Globalization has become the term that is used to refer to various phenomena and processes that are brought about by changes towards economic interaction in the world. This generally includes trade, capital cultural, and financial expansion. In this reflection role of women is Africa during globalization was looked strongly. The core discussion lies in the conversion of women’s role from traditional management and policy maker task to housekeeping role as translated between the “new civilizations”. Globalization has led to an increase rate in violations of women’s rights in political and cultural rights. Many international organizations have proven that the new trade agreement and the letter of international convention have provided women with increase opportunities to on international level as well as regional. Where globalization has led to increase rates of job market and has switched women’s role to more than a “housekeeper” it has also been proven that there are many inequalities in gender.
In an interview, Margaret Chenda talks about role of gender in globalization in Africa. She explains how men and women are affected differently due to gender inequalities in access to and control of economic recourses as well as social resources. She goes further onto explaining how the developing countries continue to discriminate female worker in terms of recruitment and labor rights and stay locked in at lower level than men would. As a result organizations have reached women to meet their needs if farming, protection, healthcare, domestic issue, employment and reduction in financial difficulties in daily lives of women. The attention has also been imposed on education for women and creating social awareness about inequalities facing women in Africa. Giving advancement of female opportunities and giving females more right will increase the quality of life and create a more sustainable standard for women and their families in developing countries like Africa. Imagine being employee number 101 out of 1001. Class this semester was widely based on the ideas and problematic events in which revolve around the idea of globalization. This term, idea, or concept poses many negativities to the gender of women. Despite the media and the common portrayal that the idea of globalization is a positive thing for the world, in many instances it is causing great negativity for people, specifically women. Globalization can be applied to many aspects of culture but many times it is applied in terms of economics. In the patriarchal world in which exists when speaking about economics it is typically a male centered conversation due to the males typically being in lead roles of the work force despite many women in this country and well across borders in other countries being very highly educated and capable of carrying out such jobs. Many of these women who seek to be educated and successful in the workforce do not achieve their goals and fall back into their gender roles which goes against their personal goals. This was demonstrated very well by the case study of “Clashing Dreams: Highly Educated Overseas Brides and Low-Wage U.S. Husbands” written by Hung Cam Thai. Not only are these brides in which are talked about in this essay failing at their personal goals they are also failing at the goals in which Estelle B. Although I have never lived in a third world or non-Westernized country, I have studied the conditions women suffer as "inferior" to men. In National Geographic and various courses I have taken, these terrible conditions are depicted in full color. Gender inequality is a terrible trait of our global society, and unfortunately, a trait that might not be ready to change. In America we see gender bias towards women in voters' unwillingness to elect more females into high office, and while this is not nearly as severe as the rest of the world, it indicates the lingering practice of gender inequality.

In the contemporary society, education is a foundational human right. It is essentially an enabling right that creates various avenues for the exercise of other basic human rights. Once it is guaranteed, it facilitates the fulfillment of other freedoms and rights more particularly attached to children. Equally, lack of education provision endangers all fundamental rights associate with the welfare of human beings. Consequently, the role of education and in particular girl child education as a promoter of nation states welfare cannot be overemphasized. As various scholars asserts, the challenges and problems faced by the African girl child, to enjoy her right to education are multifaceted. Such difficulties include sexual abuse, child labor, discrimination, early pregnancies, violence and poverty, culture and religious practices (Julia 219). Across the developing world, millions of young girls lack proper access to basic education. In the contemporary society, this crisis, which is particularly critical in remote and poor region of sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia have fascinated increased public attention. However, almost all global nation states have assured their commitment in addressing various girl child challenges and allowed a declaration to enable each young girl and boy receive education by the year 2015 (Herz and Sperling 17). It is true of Africa that women constitute a treasure that remains largely hidden. (Moleketi 10) African women grow 90% of all African produce, and contribute about 70% of Africa’s agricultural labor every year. (Salmon 16) Both the labor and food that are provided by African women go towards the increase in Africa’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP). (Moleketi 10) Although African women are feeding the majority of Africa’s inhabitants, the constricting ropes of gender inequality are still holding them back from being appreciated and living up to their full potential. Outstandingly, women such as President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, of Liberia, have gladly accepted the challenge of breaking free of these ropes.
