In the workplace, my focus will be on building cognitive trust among team members so that they will put more efforts into performing the given task. Having trust in the team leader and trust amongst team members has a positive effect on team performance. If I want the vision to be fulfilled, it’s imperative that I encourage my employees to work together. One of those skills I have expanded on is my leadership skills. During this period, becoming aware and knowing the correct way of helping/leading the students to get to the end objective became extremely important. I had to become someone that would guide others to achieve the shared goal of officially becoming a NHCC student. Being somebody that people follow and look up to for answers is a big responsibility. Also, knowing that what I do and how I respond effects the experience for them is a great responsibility.
It is a leadership strategy to early identify and share the organizational direction to members. This requires a leader to describe his vivid image of the future to team members and provide necessary guidance along regarding how to achieve certain goals. Organizational direction is/can be achieved through communicating the required aims and objectives of a team to increase the probability of a team being successful.
The member that were a part of the conundrum stated that their importance made a difference in how much effort they put forth throughout this leadership project.
