1.) While exploring the president 's roles in the nation during a lesson, I found a great interest in his specific jobs as commander-in- chief. I find it fascinating that one man has that much power over his followers. His influence reaches the minds and hearts of millions of people all over the world. I learned many new thing about the president of the United States like he has the power and control over the Army, Marines, Air Force, and the Navy. He is literally the “Commander- in- Chief” of all military in the United States. With the great power and responsibility of controlling an army, he can deploy his troops, but he must notify Congress within 48 hours. I have been in a position to connect the dots like when we recently learned about Miranda v. Arizona. I had previously read about the supreme court case Miranda v. Arizona, but never knew the deal behind it. Now I know what happened with the case, and I have been able to connect it with the real world and what this nation is currently going through. This course has taught me many things about our nation and it 's great upcoming. The court cases have helped me understand the civil rights movements that have occurred throughout our nation 's lifetime. The history of our nation has given me insight on the ways the future generations, us, can help change the world and the ways to avoid the mistakes made by our ancestors. The hierarchy of the government showed me how the world works and how one must follow orders to succeed. This course has truly helped me understand the new ideas presented by life itself. I can now relate to history and find comfort in history and believe it will help me find an answer to my
