For my final week at Children’s Specialty Services I was able to be with the younger kids. I was really excited for this because I really enjoy working with children and I was interested to compare their mental health to what I had experienced at the other age levels. I felt a lot more at ease interacting with the kids, and I felt like they were more like normal kids. Most of them have anger issues, so I didn’t get to see that side of them. When we got there, they get to grab a snack. Once they have finished their food, they play games, while one at a time they go up to do their meeting with the leaders about their nights at home and days at school.
