My Prayer: "Oh My Lord, please protect Andrea and her friend. Keep them from all harm and danger and bless them in Jesus' name. Amen"
My face was wet with tears and my consternation overwhelming. Why was my prayer for my daughter and her co-worker? She called early that morning to say that she was heading to Hartford with a co-worker in order to attend a Social Worker's Conference.
I rose, relieved that God had forgiven me of my righteous indignation and wondered why He led me into a prayer for my daughter instead. That question was answered as I ascended the four-step stairway to the landing where I dropped my briefcase. The telephone rang! I grabbed it! A voice filled with tears was on the other end. "Mommy, two large men from the housing

I went to the office the next day with great speed and anticipation. I went to the desk of Mr. ______ and asked him to forgive me for speaking to him as I did and for doing so before his supervisor. He said it was all right I told him it was not and was wrong. I then explained how God used my remorse and cry of repentance to lead me to pray for the safety of my daughter who at that very moment was being attacked by the enemy. Thank you Lord!
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

AN EASTER EVENT
My seventh child, a boy was very studious, industrious, brilliant and independent. It was not surprising that he would be interested in an Easter project at the St. John's elementary school he attended. His task was to cook hard, fresh eggs that would be decorated at school on this particular
“Oh Cursed is he who in time of trouble had to thrust his soul into the Fire’s embrace, forfeiting help; he was nowhere to turn, But blessed is he who after death can approach the Lord and find friendship in the Father’s Embrace!” (Heaney 182).
Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon.
For the Lord is good; his love lasts forever and his faithfulness through all generations.
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. (ESV)
“I pray you,” the minister hastily said. “If you know how to pacify the child, do so at once!”
"At the foot of the cross, where I am made complete. You have given me life through the death, you have bore for me. And you have won my heart." - Kathryn Scott

Throughout the years, religions have come together to bring about a new age of interfaith and interconnectedness. There are countless of examples where people have adopted two or more religions as there own, seeing and respecting the relationships and similarities between the two. In hand with this, people are now beginning to understand other religions and respect their practices. There is sort of a hybrid coming about of religions, where communities will pray with each other in a sort of collaboration of respects. However, this change in religion did not come about easily, it took much strife to bring about an interconnectedness that everyone is now a part of. Now that this interconnected and respect occurs in some areas, this can open up
As my friend poured her heart out to me and ask questions I didn't really have answers to, as I sat there listening: I prayed. I prayed for my friend. That God would guide her and comfort her. I asked God to give me the words to say to bring encouragement and comfort to her.
Psalm 16:9 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest
...m who is the source of love, and who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek his aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.”
Over these past few weeks I've realized the power of prayer & the power of my mother's prayers.
The lights dimmed. You could see everyone raising their hands while closing their eyes. In this moment, there was only silence. Each person keeping still. Tears running down the faces of the ones who have been touched. Touched not physically, but touched emotionally in the soul. In this moment there was no fear, there was only strength. Standing and gazing over all the people who were singing, I led them in praise and worship. For many years throughout my highschool career, I’ve led my youth and church through many worships noticing how each and every individual grows and prospers to enhance their fullest potentials. Leading through my voice has strengthen my voice. My voice has grown from a child to a young adults. Leading a group in my church through my voice has not always been easy though, but the ending reward of knowing what I have accomplished in aiding those who need the help is fulfilling.
Getting ready to walk into Anna’s hospice room, my anxiety level was escalating. Saying a quick prayer, I asked God to help me find the right words to comfort Anna and her family. Upon knocking on her door, a young lady in her middle 20’s answered the door. Opening the door for me, she informed me Anna was her grandmother and she would like me just to sit with her and that she would return after work. And she left. No get to know you introduction here, very formal, matter of fact, serious kind of girl. No one was going to invade her space. Oh well, I thought, I’m here to help Anna, hopefully Julie will open up later.
