This paper is about the recycling, reducing, and reusing of the waste material. Recycling is simply taking something that has been used and processing it into new products or simply using them at their current state. The main purpose of recycling is to save on resources and money as well. For instance, paper can be recycled into tissue paper or Manila paper and the same can save more cutting of trees in the environment. Some of the things that can be reused include used alcoholic and soda bottles, sawdust, and animal waste. In this paper, discussions have been divided into three parts in which I am going to report and analyze the recycling that was
Recycling and trash is not a problem that has newly been raised in society. Trash, recycling and its removal has been in history for centuries. As long as humans in society consume, there will be the remainder of something that humans see as trash. Society holds a different perspective on trash and recycling that varies from society, culture, tradition and way of life. A matter of perspective of some incidents review that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure and if one wastes not, they want not. Rural trash pickup is limited in the state of Iowa for numerous reasons that will be discussed within this project, as well as how rural individuals deal with no trash pickup. The heated argument of some of the farmer’s burn barrel will also be discussed within this project as a study is presently in the works with Iowa Department of Natural Resources. Throughout the entire project it is seen a worry that Iowa will have an increase of landfills that will be full and closing and alternatives to landfills is one major factor of the project. The project is aimed at finding a solution for the self sufficiency of the researcher upon a farm in a rural community to find a feasible solution to recycling and trash.
Demand from businesses and consumers for recyclable products is high; helping recycle materials that would otherwise become waste is one way many companies and individuals are choosing to reduce their environmental footprint.
This report will summarize the various discussions about different topics such as the brand model and also the homework assignments. Various visuals such as the moodboard, the brand Model, the website, logo and Brand profile. The layout of the report will in the form of my brand to symbolize the importance of utilizing waste materials. To me each material has a purpose after its use and can be made into something productive and serve another purpose.

for affecting change in how waste and recycling are handled because they produce more waste
Argentina has a rich history dating back to the 16th Century. As time passes, Argentina continues to prove itself as one of the most developed countries in South America. Most of Argentina’s demographic indicators lie within the world average, while the population pyramid shows a more developed country. By looking at all the demographic aspects of Argentina, it can be seen that Argentina will emerge to be one of the most developed countries within the next century.
One of the most important environmental problems in the world is waste. The world population is growing speedily and recently reached seven billion people. As a result, the amount of waste produced by people is also increasing rapidly. This problem affects all countries without exception because people cannot live without producing waste. Moreover, people are also generating new types of waste, such as the space waste, the chemical waste, and the nuclear waste. For instance, as a result of development of space industry, in the recent decades the amount of the space waste has increased significantly. Some countries or companies left their old satellites, idle equipments in the open space, which then became space debris. This space debris can collide with working space station and damage them. In addition, sometimes these wastes enter the atmosphere and do not burn during their falling, so this debris can fall on the earth and kill or damage someone (Chen 2011). It has been suggested, therefore, that waste problem is more serious than people think; hence, this problem needs rapid response. However, because of word count limitations, this essay will describe and explain in depth only one type of waste - municipal waste or municipal solid waste (MSW) - in the particular country - the United States of America (U.S.A.). Also, the purpose of this paper is to evaluate three different solutions to the problem of municipal waste in the U.S.A. They are composting, incineration, and recycling waste. Firstly, this paper will briefly explain current situation in the United States and explain municipal waste in depth; followed by a particular explanation of each solution. Finally, this essay will evaluate solutions according to the criteria of: ...
Waste generation is the amount of waste a person can create, including recyclable materials, compostable materials, and reusable items. For the personal waste generation, measurement and assessment the amount of recyclable material, such as plastics, glass and paper were measured for one week. The amount of reusable items, such as clothing, appliances, books, magazines, CDs and DVDs were measured and counted. The amount of compostable items, such as food waste, yard waste, string, and dirty paper were also calculated. Through these calculations and measurements an average was reached for the waste generation of a household.
Household wastes management is a major challenge in urban areas throughout the world. Without an efficient and effective household wastes management system, the waste generated from household will bring the negative impact on the environment and human health. So, the waste generation, the availability of resources, and the environmental conditions must be understand in developing an appropriate household wastes management system. Household wastes can be defined as a solid waste that comprises of rubbish and garbage, as such cans, bottles, clothing, food packaging, newspapers, and etc. that originates from private homes or apartments. As a many complaints about the lack of cleanliness, the federal government decided in the mid-1990s that waste management would be managed by private companies which are shown in Table 1.0 that divided into four zones.
Well, most people will wonder why waste management is an important topic. But, “Sanitation is the process of providing services and facilities that safely dispose of human waste and maintain public hygiene”. (Watson, n.d).
For the 2014-2015 challenge, EWB has collaborating with NEWAH and several organizations. This challenge is focusing on the hill region communities of the Gorkha district. There are seven design areas that have been identified to be- work for this challenge. One of them is waste management of the village. Students has been deputed to create integrated design solution for this design area. Community health, the environment and the potential uses for this by-product must take into consideration when doing the solution.(EWB 2014)
