There are over a million different planets in our universe. There is not one planet like the other, though some people may argue with this fact. Jupiter, Saturn, are all gas giants, but they also are made up of different gasses. Jupiter is made up of mostly hydrogen, Saturn is made up of hydrogen and helium. I am sure that everyone knows that the rock planets are not alike in many different ways, there is mercury which is very hot, and most likely just a planet of lava. Then there is earth which is rock and water. All that being said life could exist on any planet with water and solid ground. In my own opinion, I think that life could exist on other planets than our own. Life can exist if there is the tiniest spec that can grow, evolve, and become whatever it needs to survive. The reason why I think that is because, if I am looking for something and I cannot find it, then it where I cannot find the thing. In the case of mars there is not anywhere to hide, unless I hide under the ground. I make all those veins of water that leads to different sections of my underground home. Another reason is that mars gets really cold in the winter and at night. In order for me to be warm and not in the elements at all times I would definitely live underground. I could use my own body heat and the body heat of my significant other, if I was an alien. As for growing food, I could always use the light from the sun, as long as when night falls I cover the hole up with more
