Racism is a problem that affects the majorities of the immigrants. Many people belief that immigrants are responsible for all the crime that happen in the United States. It is difficult to live as immigrants in the United States. Is shocking and surprise when people fear of immigrants because their skin color, language or place of birth. Black and Latino are more likely to pull over than white people. Some people don’t treat minorities with the same respect that they treat a white person. According to Martin Luther King Jr,”we may have all come on different ships, but we’re in the same boat now”. Racial inequality affects the minorities’ life in every aspect. History has shown the evil effects of the racial inequality. Even with the progress since the civil rights era, we still have a lot inequality in the United States. White people dominate all the white collar position. Also, No one denies that white people control politics. Today, we still confronting the dark shadow of inequality however it is at hundred times better than the past. When Obama was elected president in 2008, it gives hope to a lot people. In addition, many black people stared to run for statewide office. The phrase” yes we can “by Obama help the minorities to believe that there is nothing impossible if we work hard. This crisis brings more the racial inequality to Americans. “all groups have suffered from high unemployment, the mortgage meltdown and soaring health care cost, but African-Americans and Hispanics started far behind and continue to fall behind. “In other words, the economics of the African Americans and Hispanics was hurt before the resection. The resection hit then harder than the white. The true reality is that minorities are more likely to suffer from the need of opportunities. Political leaders don’t like to talk about race. “Democrats mention race as little as possible, even though minority voters are crucial constituents, because colorblind positions are far more politically popular”(Sanger,2014). Political leader understand that by ignored the racial inequality issue. They will not have to pick side. They want to be in both sides because it will bring more voters to their side. According to Reagan studies about employment and real estate practices, racial discrimination still affecting our life also programs like the earned income tax credit and temporary assistance don’t decrease inequality.
