This chapter outlines the various methods and approaches that were used in the both the data collection and data analysis stages throughout this study. This chapter also aims to provide justification of the various methods and techniques that were employed.

Methods of study
This study is based upon a human geography topic and due to the nature of the research, the collection and thus analysis of both primary and secondary data was necessary. The primary research involved the creation and employment of a questionnaire as a method of data collection. Secondary data taken from prior reports, journal articles and textbooks was also used to form a large basis of the dissertations results and made up a large fraction of the data analysis.

Qualitative and Quantitative Research
The methods used to collect data utilised both qualitative and quantitative methods. Quantitative research provides a large amount of data.
