These health issues, whatever it may be, affects an individual and the community, it may be on our own influence or factors outside our control. The differences in language and traditions have been a great barrier between the patient and health care providers coming from diverse culture and different backgrounds. The management of the patient’s health is assessment stage where the patient reports his signs and symptoms, planning for his medical treatment, decision making regarding diagnostic tests and procedures to be done with the patient, post mortem techniques and a lot of other interventions. The norms, beliefs, customs and traditions of a country signify their culture. The culture of a person depends greatly on his attitude towards medical care and their capacity to understand their illnesses and the familiarity over the course of his treatment. As health practitioners, we must be able to learn and understand the cultural traditions of the patients to be able to have a specific plan by asking for information and encouraging talking about their likes and dislikes and what they are expecting from the implementation of the health intervention. We must also be open-minded with all the data given and keeping in mind not to judge his or her culture and compare it with our own.
