Do I personal, believe that social media is a fad; defiantly not. Social media has spread faster then wild firer. To me its cold because it lacks tone; one can only assume what the tone of a text message is like flipping a coin in the air and trying to guess which side it will land on. Just like missing out on tone and movement which our brain is use to already interrupting; body movements, hand gestures, and facial expressions are also more visual expressions that are tale tail signs of how a persons feelings come across. Yes, I know that there are the little Emoji, happy face and sad face graphics or, “Stickers” that can be add it to the conversation. The first time that I had ever joined a social network, it was MySpace; and at the time I was just starting to learn how to do the interactive coding to edit my personal page. Truth be told, it was not even my personal page it was the start of my Tattoo persona. Just recently I figured out that LinkedIn, was a business oriented social networking site. I always received invites to join through Facebook friends, but I never go into it. I ‘m still not really into social networking; something about having my personnel life posted on social networks, out there for all to see doesn’t sit well with me. That is not to say I do not have a profile up its mostly for my family, to have the cousins connect to pictures of my children, but even the erg to do that is dwindling fast, since my family seems to communicate and meet up less and less with each year.
